Great addition to the shop if you live in the rust belt or deal with anything rusty. I bought mine after seeing an episode of Watch Wes Work (his channels gets 5 stars too) and I can’t believe I went without it for this long. I have been using a cheap kolbalt branded air chisel for years now. I found these to be awesome when used with a cheap harbor freight pickle fork when doing suspension work. The old chisel worked good enough for the most part, but having a longer hammer stroke sure does make things quicker. I still found it helpful to have the old tool next to me with a hammer/blunt ended bit to help it free a stubborn ball joint. Only complaint is that I wish this hit a little harder, but i might just need more practice with it. ... show more

I bought this a while ago and used it for the first time yesterday. I used a chisel and the spring broke almost immediately. It's pretty much useless now. I would like a replacement spring. Maybe it was just defective, I don't know.

    • Decent short air hammer with low air needs. Used for light riveting

Rewritten review: I had some problems getting it to work, which boiled down to the spring being too tight and unable to fully secure the chisel bits. So, the too-tight spring is on Sunex for sure. I got a replacement with the same issue. Five bucks got me two more generic that thread easily and got the hammer working. I used it for riveting my aluminum boat repairs. It's nice because it has the adjustable dial on the hammer, and I didn't want a giant hammer punching way too hard for 3/16" rivets. Works great for this once I got the spring situation sorted. ... show more
