Great, damn great long bar, just what I wanted for getting deep into the engine or drive train from a long way out. I received the 1/2 to 1/2 as described (not the 1/2 to 3/8 as somebody did). However, it is not pin locking just a normal ball detent but that is not the end of the world. I will not use this often but when I do I know it will save me ! ... show more

I bought this thing to use in my scrap yard and I cant see anything wrong with it. Its cheap, its tough. My employees can break anything so the fact that its made it over a week in my recycling facility means that it must be tough. were using it on the end of an impact 1/2 drive air gun and its doing good so far. ... show more

You just can't beat the sunex impact wrenches / sockets & extensions sold them for 30 years only ever had 1 piece break & it was from very severe abuse. You won't go wrong if you buy sunnex sockets & impacts nuf said.

This a really nice extension. I'm really like the quality that sunex puts into their product. Real thick construction no flexing. The price is also great. I recommend this for anyone removing a transmission. I don't see this bar failing anytime soon. Or ever.

I have taken several transmissions out with this extension. It is the perfect length and it doesn't flex. It seems expensive, but it is definitely worth it. Couple this bar with wobble sockets, and takeing a transmission off is a breeze.

    • 36 inch extension does NOT have "Locking Pin" socket retention.
This impact extension appears to be well made (I have not been disappointed with the quality of any of my other previously purchased Sunex extensions thus far), and the price was good. I am sure it will be useful to me as the most important feature was the 36 inch length. HOWEVER, the description clearly states that this extension has a "Locking Pin" for socket retention. The extension that I received does NOT have a locking pin. Instead, it has the standard spring-loaded ball for socket retention. The seller of the extension I received was "Amazon.com Services, Inc." -- I am not sure if perhaps other sellers offer an extension which actually has a locking pin retention device. I did use the "report incorrect product information" using the link on the product page so maybe this will be addressed. ... show more
