The local store where I purchased Sundown supplements stopped offering what I needed, so I searched Amazon. While I had been taking a lower dose, those were no longer offered by Sundown. The price for these is within pennies of the other, despite being shipped to me. B12 is one that the body filters, simply flushing extra (similar to Vitamin C) when not absorbed. Since these are a timed release, it is designed to minimize any loss of benefit. There is no powdered residue with these tablets, though they have a very mild pleasant taste if I do not swallow quickly enough. I have zero aftertaste, intestinal discomfort, or other side effects. These are great tabs - easy to swallow, good sized, & zero flavor or odor. I've always used liquid B12 or sublingual lozenges because the old thinking was that sublingual was better absorbed than oral tablets or capsules. Modern studies show there is no difference in absorbability. I prefer tablets because I really don't like the flavoring in all the sublingual products - yuck! This is a great dosage, too. We need 2-3 mcg daily but we only absorb between .5-4% of any oral supplementation with B12. So these 1,000 mcg tablets deliver about 4-40 mcg of B12 to our bodies. 👍 I'd like to reassure anyone worried thinking that these must contain artificial coloring because they are pink - B12 IS NATURALLY PINK!! It's due to the color of the cobalt-corrin complex (a corrin nucleus with a cobalt atom in its center). Literally search "what is the color of B12?" & you will only find answers telling you that it is naturally a vibrant pink/red color. Lastly, this is truly a TERRIFIC VALUE on Amazon. I was paying so much more for other B12 supplements & I feel that these are the same quality. ... show more

Although I take various supplements including multi vitamins and nitric oxide at times. I had issues with feeling tired often. Part of the problem was medication I take as an anti seizure drug. I still had frequent bouts of being drowsy too often on some days. It was suggested I try B12 by a family member. She said since taking it she is never tired and uses it daily. B12 is in the multi vitamin but I tried Sundown 1000 mg B12. and to my surprise I was feeling energized all day. Counteracting the medication I take is difficult but Sundown B12 has been a real boost. On your days you don't need that boost don't take it so your body can reduce any possible excess of B12. ... show more
