Lights come with the light itself, the wiring box with select-able color, cut-out template, and wirenuts. You will need a basic understanding of electrical wiring if DIY, as well as junction box fittings, to pinch the power wire into place. Be sure and always shut off power at the breakers, and test the wiring prior to touching anything. These lights are very thin, and I was able to install them in both thin wooden sheets (for some wall mounting accents), and in drywall ceiling without any problem. The template works fine, however with this many lights I would recommend getting a 6.33" hole saw since that is far faster and easier than tracing and cutting by hand. As the template is only a thicker piece of paper, if you are tracing out on a wall or ceiling, a compass worked much faster. I do wish that they included a plastic ring sized for the holes needed to cut as that would have made it easier. Installation was very easy though once I got a rhythm going. After the hole was cut and the wire was pulled to the box, the junction box gets mounted, and wiring connected to the junction box. Connect the wire between the junction box and light (they all fit nicely) and tighten them to each other, and then push the light into the hole while holding the spring tabs to slide into the hole. Very straightforward. Be sure to select the temperature of white light type you want, before pushing all the lights in place, since it does takes a bit of time to remove the lights and reach into the hole to change the setting. I did include a picture of the dim-able switches that are compatible. There is a QR code that can be scanned which leads to a PDF that has more compatible switches listed. The added ones not listed in their instructions are Lutron (CTCL-153PDH-WH, DVCL-153PR-WH, MACL-153MH-WH, P-PKG1W-WH-R, TGCL-153-PH-WH), Leviton (P2-06672-1LW, R50-IPL06-10M, R62-06674-POW), Eaton (AL06-C1, SAL06P-LA-K). (verify the manufacturer and model number as they may revise the list?). For the brightness and being dim-able, the lights have been working great. They throw off a very good amount of light without getting very warm. Also being switched, there is no need for any phone app to control the lights. And with the larger packs, I set a few aside, for when any happens to fail (and when that happens I will revise this review). I do like these lights and recommend for a DIY upgrade for lighting in a space. ... show more

I ordered these to replace two 2x4 lights that I had in my kitchen and these look so much fancier and brighter. The way the light is dispersed is so much nicer in the room. I installed 12 of these lights (only 11 show in picture as I had a sheet rock repair from the old light) and I put them 44 inches apart from each other in every direction which seemed to be about the right distance to ensure good lighting. I would recommend looking at a lumen calculator if you are going to install these or any lights. What I installed was a total of 15,000 lumens and it called for 11,500 in a kitchen with detail work. I ended up turning these down to 75% brightness as it is still nice at 100% but I would rather have too much light than not enough. These install pretty easily - I used a 6 inch hole saw and the lights fit inside them perfectly. The control boxes screw to the light with a watertight connection and the box itself has two sides for running your connecting wires inside and then putting a cover over it. I did have a little trouble with the provided wire nuts if I went more than the supply line wire and the light wire, but I just used some bigger wire nuts for those lights. Overall, I am very pleased with how these look, the brightness, and the clean look of them installed. I would recommend this for anyone that wants to give a room an upgraded look to replace even older style LED lights like I had. The only issue I have now is that my wife wants me to install these in a lot more rooms. Great price for the quality of these lights. ... show more
