These were great after I released the hem. Gave me the 2” we needed. Was replacing an IKEA curtain at 98” long. These are 96”. Instead of re mounting the curtain rod I just released the hem steamed them, & gave them a quick hand hem. Not 100% blackout but great for a living room. These are a lovely burgandy color, not a wine color, in case you're hoping for a purple tinge, these lean more to red/ brown not red/ purple. They will work very well for my needs. With that being said, I had to add some eclipse fabric to the back side, as these are room darkening, but definitely not total blackout. With the added eclipse fabric that I already had on hand, they're close to perfect! You can see a little light through them but not a lot, and that they're a dark color helps. The 2 curtains are 54" x 84" and cover a 72" wide window just fine. ... show more

Love the color although it’s a little bit warmer than the blush pink in the photo. The curtains are not fully blackout though. I would describe them as light filtering and not ‘sun zero’ but my daughter hasn’t complained so far so I’ll be keeping them for the time being.
