These curtains are just perfect for me, because they're exactly what I want. It's beyond sunny where I live, all the time -- I never step outside without sunglasses unless it's past maybe 7pm, and even the light that comes in with "room darkening curtains" gives me a headache because it's too sunny. I wanted curtains that would allow me to let in just a little bit of natural light but not be fully blackout (otherwise I would just be living only with indoor lights at all hours of the day), and this does the trick. Even in the brightest of afternoon hours, it is not so sunny that it gives me a headache. I do not sleep with these curtains, because they are NOT fully blackout, but if you're looking for something that will allow you to enjoy natural light without the harshness of bright rays, these are perfect. Another bonus is that these curtains are soft to touch. Quite lovely. The "blush" color is a little dull for my taste -- it's more like a dusty pink. The "white" was too bright and let in too much light. The teal one (labelled "surf") works well for me, however, and I bet the other darker-colored ones all work pretty well. ... show more

I didn’t want total black out and not too sheer. The material is perfect. Casts a glow around the edges that feels dreamy. Slides easily on rod. Still let’s a decent amount of light in which I like. My daughter loves it. Ordering more for the rest of my house. Only drawback is the 40 width. My double windows are 71 inches wide total. Need just a little more inches than 40 to cover whole window when closed. However, on a single size window that’s not double, this size will be just fine. ... show more
