The color of the curtains does not match the one described . In the picture it is a deep warm dark brown color. In fact, the color is much lighter, not so saturated and more gray, as if the white lining shines through the front side.

My daughter's room is like a sauna during the summer. We do not have central air and because of the pitch of the roof outside her window, we cannot accommodate a window air conditioner either. As a teen, she wants her privacy and her door closed. The room would get near 90 degrees some days. I bought these drapes and wow, they lowered the temp in her room to the mid-70's in temperature and she stays comfortable with her ceiling fan and floor fans blowing. They are gorgeous and well made and very heavy. I will switch out to the sheer I have for that room during the winter when we want some warmth from the sun coming in. They matched the color perfectly and the ornate pattern to offset the solid velvet comforter added a beautiful complimentary addition to my decor for the season. These are heavy curtains that works as described. They block the sun and keep heat at bay which is vital in the heat of summer. They are thick curtains and require a strong curtain rod. The quality is great and the stitching is good. These curtains are a nice rich brown looks attractive when hanging. They are definitely thicker than other sun blocking curtains I have used and seem to keep heat out as well as some noise.
