I needed a curtain for my office. I didn't need multiple panels or a complete blackout, just something to keep me from getting blinded, add some color to the room, and possibly block out some heat in the summer. This seemed to fit the bill, and it came in the ridiculously long length I needed. The sage color didn't look nice in the package, but it looks much better in place. I did have to steam it to get the creases out, but that's normal. (I'm sure there are other ways, but I use my steamer for everything.) It really looks great and I have no complaints for what I paid for it. If you're looking for a real blackout curtain, keep looking. If you just want a room darkening curtain, this could be a good option. Some light definitely still comes through, but it's not sheer by any stretch of the imagination. It has a nice large opening that easily fits over the curtain rod. The fabric is soft, durable, and doesn't look cheap to me. I like that I can decorate my office without breaking the bank with this item. If I get tired of my current theme or move to an office with a different-sized window, I would definitely buy another one of these. ... show more

When it says blackout in the description, I think it means no light comes through. The light does show through, however, it’s not a bright light. But when you were going for a pitch, black room, don’t buy this curtain.
