I already had a Sun Joe 24V 4Ah battery & charger, and more recently moved into a older house that is experiencing regular sewer-drain clog issues which a 6-foot snake would not clear. This tool-only deal gave me a 25 foot cordless power auger/snake with minimal investment compared to pro-brand tools or similar batteries-included tool deals. I've used it 3 times in 4 months to clear clogs, all on a single battery charge. Operation is ultra-simple. The snake passes easily thru the P-trap in my shower drain. It's pretty lightweight and easy to maneuver. The LED light on the front is slightly useful. Before using it a second time, I invested in a pair of "Ugly Gloves". Summary: it works, hasn't broken or gotten stuck, barely consumes battery charge, and has saved me hundreds of $ in pro plumber/rooter unclogging charges. edit 23.05: sadly I'm still using this machine on a regular (weekly or more often) basis while coming up with a strategic plan to solve my old house's problem (cast iron sewer under slab; I've got an underground pipe locator on order...); only yesterday I ran all 25 feet down my 3" drain (starting from a newly-installed cleanout in my bathroom wall). However one note for other users of this or similar machines: I once let the drive add so much twist to the snake, and improperly allowed too much of a gap to develop between the tool and the pipe entrance, and the middle of the snake twisted up tightly and flailed around a bit. "All in a day's work" however this episode left a permanent kink in the snake: each time this part of the snake is leaving or entering the machine, it slows down and shudders (and the clutch slips?) rather than feeding smoothly. It's not a big problem, certainly not worth replacing the snake, but I regret letting it "get away from me" that one time. Live and learn. Also the price of this item seems to have increased significantly since my purchase, somewhat negating my earlier "minimal investment" comment and making identical-looking (different colored) machines (with battery & charger included) worth a closer look. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. An item I been using has broken down. Is there a way to turn it in and fix this ? Or is there a way that I can get a replacement. The part that is broke is a twisted wire that broke off.

I mostly bought this to take add to my SunJoe 24V tool collection. I used it to snake all the drains in my house. My bathroom sink was draining slowly and it improved that.
