Great summer hair product. my hair needs the purple spray when it's too tangly to brush through. it's so effective in smoothing out my hair. the lightener can be a little harsh on the scalp if you're sensitive, but definitely does its job.

Love this stuff! Been using sun-in for a while, but decided to try this stuff this year. Works a little slower, but does less damage to your hair and you get the same results. My hair naturally lightens in the sun, and I love how this just speeds it up. It also smells amazing!

To all my dark haired ladies, here is my process. I have dark-brunette, thick hair. Not so dark it looks black, but very much a dark chocolate brown. I read numerous reviews here and never saw a post with photos of the phases that dark hair goes through using this product to get lighter, but wanted to try it out so I decided to take multiple photos from different points. When I first used the product I only applied it after I showered thinking my hair had to be wet. However around the time I was about 25% through the product I started spraying it on dry hair. In my experience either way has worked the same. I followed the instructions and never applied the product more than once between washes. The product itself smells wonderful (as all sunbum products do) and yes it can be drying, however with the following of the directions and by doing a moisturizing hair mask at least once a week I have been able to keep my hair soft and strong. I also made sure to spend time in the sun, either sunbathing, walking, or swimming after application to have that “sun kissed look”. Through this process I went from having dark chocolate brown to now having light brown hair with copper and blonde low lights! However, most have posted that their brown hair turned auburn or even red, and this was no different for me. At about 50% of the product being used I would say that in the right light I looked like I had dark auburn hair with copper and blonde streaks. However, since continuing using the product, the auburn color has faded but some red still remains blended with browns and blondes in my hair strands. I am very happy with my progress. I had no goal besides changing my hair up cheaply during the quarantine (hey we are all bored and need some change, am I right?). So for all of you dark brunettes who are curious about whether or not this product works, it totally does. I will warn you though it is different for everyone of course, but I say give it a try if you want to lighten your hair but aren’t a talented hair dresser (I’ll never take them for granted again!). I’ll be purchasing my next bottle today!

The first photo in the green tank is my before and the second photo in the black tank is after 10 days of use here and there. If you want something to get you in between coloring appointments this definitely works it just not fast. It’s gradual natural highlights which I do love.

I am pleased with how this lightening spray and toner work! I wish I took a more purposeful “before” pic to be consistent but I forgot. I have underlying reddish tones in my brown hair already so those are definitely highlighted now. I love the leave-in tone enhancer! It smells good and makes my hair feel soft. Not sure that it works to prevent brassy tones but maybe it’s keeping my hair tone in check. I used the spray for about a week and will probably take a break so I don’t turn into a total redhead.

Dries your hair out after awhile of using it so be prepared to have some hair masks on standby. Other than that, it is slowly doing as advertised.
