These jeans are stretchy slim cut, and seem to run true to size. The level 2 armour on the knees and hips give a level of security you don't have with regular jeans. The care instructions recommend dry cleaning, but I throw them in the washer and dryer anyway, cause I'm a rebel. They are holding up fine after several washes . The inner thigh and leg side mesh panels allow good air flow, but for that reason the question about water resistance is unusual. In the rain you will get soaked in these pants, especially in area of the crotch. But hey, they're made for warm weather riding, and when you're moving they are cool and comfortable. I would wear these jeans to a bar or restaurant after removing the knee armour, but I don't claim to be a fashion trend setter. Good value, I am happy with this purchase ... show more

I'm 193lbs. Hips are 50", waist is 36" so it's HARD to find motorcycle pants that fit. I bought these in a 34 and a 36. The 34 fit best (I'll need a belt) but the knee protector pockets were different than the ones on the 36, which I found odd (see video). Other than that the quality is great, I like they way the look, they are pretty Stretchy and decently priced. The only thing I would change is more ventilation around under the crotch area thru to the seat. ... show more

These jeans are awesome. I was not expecting much for the price. The hip and knee pad inserts are thick and have a solid feel yet you don’t even know they’re there. Sometimes I go out in my car for the day in these jeans and just leave the pads in. The pants look sick, very stylish and edgy. They breath GREAT, tons of hidden mesh, you feel the breeze completely at a low speed. Awesome summer riding pants, would not recommend for cold weather though. I’m 6 feet tall, 200 pounds, I usually wear a 32 or 34 waist and I got the XLs they fit perfectly. Great stretchy material, if I had one bad thing to say it would be that the mesh internal hip pad pockets seem really cheap and not durable. But they’re inside the pants so I guess they don’t have to be strong material. 5 stars all the way, ordering a second pair!!!!! ... show more

This review is for "Summer Mesh Motorcycle Riding Jeans with Armor Motocross Racing Slim Stretch Pants (XXL=36, Black)" bought in October 23 on sale for $32.99 I ordered them because I found them cheap and had not much expectation. When they came In I was impressed at how well they look and fit. The protections seem OK, I would not use them for racing or for going off road, but in a low speed crash in the street I thing they could help prevent a knee injury. The pants themselves look like they would tear up in such a scenario and the are a few loose threads here and there, but for the price I paid I find that more than OK. If I change my view on them I'll update this review ... show more

    • Ventilated! But little "real" protection.

Keep in mind that these jeans MAY help a bit with initial impact. But although the stretch jean material is awesome and comfortable, it is very thin. With no kevlar (aramid) backing in this product, you'll not have any protection from road rash. I'm sure they'll shread to pieces as bad if not worse than normal jeans. So keep in this in mind. Ventilation is pretty awesome, so they're good on hot days. Reading other views, I found that mine did not have a "liner" behind the ventilation mesh. I didn't have to cut anything out. Why in the hell would some expect a level of water-proofing with jeans, especially those with mesh ventilation?!?! Anyhow, they're good looking, provide cooling and I do feel a "little" better that they may provide a bit of initial impact protection. So I think if you purchase them for comfort, cooling and keep in mind that they will not do too much to protect you, then they may be the riding jeans for you. Would be super cool if they had aramid (kevlar) linings--I'd consider them near perfect then. ... show more

I know these are pictured like skinny jeans, but I underestimated... Not comfy at all. The strech doesn't make up for it. The pads are fine, and I like that they have hip pads... But the material is so thin!!!! These will rip in 0.00001 seconds in a crash and you WILL have roadrash. I'll be returning these. ... show more
