    • Britches are great !
These britches are great! For fit, lay out, and solid feeling, just perfect great riding pants. There is no fabric rating that I can find on these pants, but cordura is suppose to be 10 times better than plain old blue jeans for lasting against road rash. So hopefully these britches are as advertised on that part......because they sure aren`t on the armor. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5....they claim level 1 armor, it is not at al ! It is just 1/4 filler crap. I got SAS-tec CE 2 armor for these britches, there is another thin armor out there, D3O that sounds really good too. Far as fit, the pants are great ! There is some stretchy-ness, but also has tabs were you can tighten stuff up if need be, but no need for a belt, and there isn`t a place for one, and I like that also. I like the pockets, zippered up top, the Velcro cargo pockets are great, I like that. I can`t ride in the summer heat, and sure these britches will be way to hot, but that is just me. I recommend getting the pants, just upgrade the pads :-) ... show more

I like that I don't need a belt. I rode in 98 degree weather today and the ventilation was really nice. I used them in January and stayed warm enough in 30-40 as well with the vents zipped up. The Velcro and zipper pockets are very secure and high quality. The multiple points where I can cinch them tight is nice as well. The pads are definitely there, but not uncomfortable. Will definitely buy again for my brother when he gets his first bike. ... show more

I bought and returned a bunch of pants and these are working great. You've probably been looking and see all the other pants are crazy expensive so you're wondering if these are a fantastic find or just more crappy stuff with lots of fake reviews. Well, I'm here to tell ya, they work and feel fantastic. I live in LA and wore these to Thanksgiving over my jeans and they were comfortable and easy. Didn't feel cold on the highway at 80-90 mph, and I could leave them in my bike luggage when I got there. Last night I wore them with nothing underneath and they worked perfectly as well. I haven't tried them on hot days yet, but they do have vents on the upper thigh. I'm hoping that will work but have my doubts as 110 degree summer heat and these pants sounds like a brutal combo. But, for the next few months they'll be perfect. AND, the side pockets' upper lip folds over to make them water proof in case rain douses you. Yes, you could find better but not at this price. I'm super happy with them and hope they work for you as well. Oh, they also have a raised bit on the back that goes higher on the back and is padded. I wore them for the first time today and I really liked them. Fit as described and are very comfortable. Not as hot as other protective pants, but felt safe and protected. It was 88deg with 90% humidity on the mountain today but didn’t feel overheated at all.
