I received the Sumbababy Foam Climbing Blocks from Amazon at no cost. No parties have influenced this review—all opinions are my unbiased observations after testing the product for 10 days. This review evaluates the climbing blocks based on six criteria: 1. Functionality – Do the climbing blocks perform as advertised? 2. Design – Are they well-designed with a focus on child safety? 3. Quality – Are they made with durable and safe materials? 4. Ease of Use – Are they easy for young children to use? 5. Durability – How long are they likely to last? 6. Value – Are they reasonably priced for what they offer? Each criterion is rated on a scale from 1 to 5, with 1 being poor and 5 exceptional. My final recommendation is based on the average of these scores. Let’s dive in! Functionality – 4/5 The colorful design immediately captured my one-year-old granddaughter’s attention. She enjoyed climbing and crawling through the tunnel but found the slide too short to function effectively (see attached pictures). I was initially concerned about the foam's firmness but was pleased to find it firm enough to support her weight without collapsing. However, without a side-by-side comparison with other options, I cannot determine if it could be firmer. Although the product is marketed for children aged 3 to 5, its size and firmness may make it more suitable for toddlers under two. Design – 5/5 The blocks feature Velcro connectors and an anti-slip back, allowing customizable and stable configurations to suit different play styles (see attached pictures). The soft, smooth edges enhance safety, making the design functional and visually appealing. Quality – 5/5 The PU leather cover is easy to clean and provides a child-friendly surface. The foam is firm yet cushioned enough to prevent injuries. Additionally, the product meets CPC, ASTM, and CPSC safety standards, which is reassuring. Ease of Use – 5/5 The climbing blocks arrived vacuum-compressed. After opening the package, I let them expand for 48 hours. No assembly was required. Durability – 4/5 While my granddaughter has only played with the blocks for less than two weeks, they appear sturdy and well-made. However, long-term durability under frequent use remains to be seen. I will update this rating after six months. Value – 5/5 At $159.99 (with a $10 coupon), these climbing blocks are competitively priced among similar products on Amazon. While some alternatives may offer firmer foam, I cannot compare their quality without firsthand testing. For the price, this set delivers a safe and engaging gym experience for young children under two. Final Recommendation – 4.7/5 I recommend the Sumbababy Foam Climbing Blocks to anyone seeking a fun, safe, reasonably priced playset for children under two. Got these for our 2 year old for our play room. She loves them and loves to hide in the tunnel piece. My husband put them all together pretty easily, but some of them he struggled with just because of how dense the foam was. All foam pieces arrived vacuum sealed and sprung back to intended size very quickly with no deformation to them. They are wipe down which is really nice and have held up well. Highly recommend for a kids playroom!

In terms of how this looks, it’s nearly identical to ECR4Kids softzone blocks. The pleather covers are super easy to clean, the pieces come with Velcro at the bottom to connect them together, and my kid at the least loves them both. The differences are in the feel and density of the foam. ECR4kids has much denser foam. An adult can stand on those without much deformity, these are softer and less dense. I can stand on them and they will hold my weight, unlike tons of knockoffs, but they definitely deform and are nowhere near as strong as the brand name blocks. Also at this moment, ECR4kids has a discount on their blue set of essentially this same thing (minus the middle block that fits under the arch) and it turns out to be $10 cheaper than this set. In that case, it’s a no brainer to get the name brand. Honestly I would still recommend the name brand anyway bc it’s not that much more expensive than this set normally. That being said, these are pretty good knockoffs, they’re definitely denser than kost of those knockoffs, and again, the pleather covers make them a lot easier to clean and maintain than the weird flock like material of the knockoffs. I would still recommend the actual name brand blocks because right now they’re cheaper and normally they’re not that much more expensive. But for a knockoff, this might take the crown as the best knockoff.

This review is for the Sumbababy Foam Climbing Blocks for Toddlers: with a Tunnel - 4 PCS Foam Blocks - Kids Indoor Climbers Play Structures Play Gym Soft Climber with Slide and Stair Soft Playground Green I am impressed with the quality and size of these climbing blocks. I have a preschooler and 1st grader who are bigger than toddlers and they are enjoying climbing and making different configurations. There is no smell to the foam which is great! The foam comes vacuum sealed and easily inflates. It is easy to put the foam in the cloth once the zipper is undone. I like how the cloth is washable with a rag. The Velcro to attach the shapes is easy for my kids to take on and off. It appears these items are good quality and provides hours of entertainment for kids. I would recommend these indoor play structures.

These are so great for climbing and playing on! The material is is perfect for being able to get up on them, and soft enough to cushion a fall. My toddler really loves to "trust fall" onto them. They came in packaged well with no odor or any imperfections that I noticed. They are vacuum sealed, and don't take too long to puff up. The material is easy to clean, though I've only had to spot treat them so far.

I got this to add to a previous set I got for a friend's kid who's just really starting to get around. These are super sturdy, dense enough to climb on and jump around, but definitely safe and soft for those fun hard landings. The cover material is easy to clean and durable for lots of throwing and beating on lol, that kid has a great fun time.
