My brand new couch got a tear and ripped thread in one of the arms right away, so I ordered this set of couch arm covers. It does the job of covering the damaged arm and fits well. It is a soft and stretchy material, but with no elastic at the bottom, so you can easily position it anywhere.

I understand the dimensions are quite present on the description of the item, but I am pretty disappointed that these are not deeper. I have a deep couch and the arms are deep as well, but these only go about half way back on the arms of the couch. As I look at them, I find the picture very deceiving because I would be surprised if any couch or recliner would have full coverage from these covers. When I am sitting on my couch, my elbow rests on a part of the arm rest that the cover does not even get close to. I'd take a picture but, the whole reason I got the covers is because my children have left quite a few stains that I'd hoped would get covered! Needless to say, the many of the stains are still exposed. That being said, for the price, I find the material and quality of the item itself to be appropriate. They have enough stretch that they fit over the over-sized arms and fall appropriately on the sides. I only wish they had a "deep" or "extra-deep" option for furniture such as mine. ... show more

I wanted something to protect my sofa/loveseat without using a complete slipcover which never stays put. These armrest covers work great! They stretch and they fit the square arms that are 6 1/2 inches wide. I’m very happy that they included the little screw pins to attach the covers to the sofa otherwise they do not stay put. I also bought the seat covers that match and those are also a great product. ... show more

I am someone who pretty much lives in my recliner. LOL I eat there, put on my makeup there, and a host of other things that can get potentially messy. After owning my recliner for 4 years, the arms are still just like new!!! These are easy to put on and easy to remove for washing. I've washed my several times now. They fit my recliner perfectly too. Of what use is having them if they don't stay where you put them? Since they are fitted for recliners, they stay put. I think when its time to buy a new recliner, my arm rests will still look new!!! No doubt I will have to replace the recliner because the moveable parts are worn out. That's just as it should be and not because the arm rests are horrible. ... show more

Other reviewers had it correct. These aren't truly stretchy, unless you are putting them on some massive size armchair. They have a little bit of a stretch, but were a bit large for my chair, so I just tuck them into the sides and they stay on fine. I may add some Velcro to hold them on better. At least I have removable and washable covers now, so they do work. ... show more
