  • It get rid of static and hair as stated
Scent: Shed Shield Size: 46 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
Like others said it works. I checked the one stars before I buy stuff. I decided to try this out since it was a few bucks. It’s a small bottle. It works great I even used it in some clothes without animal hair smells good. I needed something that repelled static it’s like there’s no static softener anymore. Everything else is fabric conditioner. I don’t need my clothes conditioned. I need them free of static and I also use this in the dog blanket and it works like it says smells pretty good too. I bought another bottle. I’ll do a lot of laundry so it goes quick. On the back of the container it says the amount for a small load and that’s it so I just eyeball it and put enough in for like a large load. I use the cap full for a large load. My clothes didn’t have any static and the dogs blankets didn’t have any static and any hair. The hair was like at the bottom of the washer. Anything that was left over and it wasn’t like sticking to the blanket. I wish I had taken pictures when I did the review . I also had put a little bit in with the laundry detergent when first starting a load with the dogs wash so the hair would come off then as well and that worked great. I hang dry clothes. So I do not use a dryer so I can’t speak from that perspective. I have 6 dogs 5 large breeds and 1 Chihuahua so I’m washing the dogs blankets probably about five times a week if not more. It is a good price too though for the amount and prices these days of softener and it doesn’t leave that nasty residue like Downey does. ... show more

  • Top-Quality Comfort Without the Premium Price
Scent: Shed Shield Size: 46 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
If you live with dogs or cats, this fabric softener is a total game-changer. I was genuinely surprised at how well it works. After just one wash, I noticed a huge difference: clothes came out softer, fresher, and—most importantly—with way less pet hair clinging to them. Even items that normally attract every single stray hair, like leggings and blankets, looked noticeably cleaner. The formula leaves fabrics feeling smooth, which helps repel pet hair instead of trapping it. It also reduces static, making it harder for fur to stick in the first place. I love that my clothes stay cleaner for longer, even between washes. Another bonus is the scent. It’s fresh but not overpowering, giving everything a clean, just-washed smell. And despite being so effective, it’s still gentle enough for everyday use on towels, bedding, and delicate items. For anyone with furry friends, this softener delivers exceptional value. It performs just as well—or better—than big-name brands that promise hair reduction. My laundry looks better, feels better, and has way less pet hair stuck to it. ... show more

  • Finally, My Laundry Doesn’t Smell Like My Dog
Scent: Shed Shield Size: 46 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I have pets, so I was curious if this would actually help. My clothes and blankets come out smelling fresh, feeling soft, and they definitely seem to attract less pet hair. Even the dog bed smells noticeably better after washing. I’ll be buying this again.

  • Best for keeping pet hair off clothes!
Scent: Shed Shield Size: 46 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I love this stuff! I worried because it was “off brand” or not a recognized popular brand. It isn’t thick like normal fabric softener. It’s a bit more runny. But it works so well! I just fill my fabric softener cup in my washer. And it does its magic. My clothes have way less cat and dog hair on them. I’ve got 2 cats and 2 dogs. I don’t wear anything black anymore and have tons of lint rollers in every room. Not anymore. The pet hair doesn’t stick like it used to. Granted I don’t think there’s anything that makes it 100% pet hair free. But this is by far the best thing. And the more I use it the better it works. Try this stuff out! It’s inexpensive and works sooo well! ... show more

  • Doesn't do what it's supposed to but smells and feels great
Scent: Shed Shield Size: 46 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)
I was really torn for a star grading. On the one hand, it smells really great like a lot of Suavitel (yellow being my favorite thus far). But on the other hand it's not doing much of anything to help with the fur on my really shedding dog (off her really). My dog gets brushed twice a day with shedding brushes outdoors. She is a breed that is known to shed heavily, although in all honesty when my family member brought her from the pound, they thought and was told she was a different breed. I've trained hundreds of dogs and I don't know where my brain was (I blame it on the flu I had) when I saw a dog that was supposedly 6 months old and already weighed close to a hundred pounds and didn't immediately say heck no that's no Labrador. I must have been an idiot or just a sucker to the family begging to think that this was not a giant breed dog. A few days later it was confirmed when I came home one day after adopting her and there was hair everywhere in the house on the floor to the point where I thought that the ceiling must have come down somewhere and all the insulation must have dropped down. Because I said there's no way this much stuff came off of one dog in 5 hours, and she's my only dog of that color - all the rest of my dogs are black or brown so it had to have been her and that's why I said it must have been insulation that white insulation and not that sort of buff white dog which turns out yes it was that buff white dog. She's supposed to really only shed heavily twice a year and somebody didn't tell her her hair follicles that because they shed 365. I'm hoping that once all the different breeds of dogs that are inside of her fight it off and decide what she wants to end up looking like as a real adult and she's growing into real adult now, I'm hoping that at that point then the hair will stop changing. Because it's quite literally one month she looks like one breed then she sheds, the next month she looks like another breed, she sheds then the third one she looks like the different breed and then she sheds, and we're doing this all year long and it's driving me crazy. Although the birds seem to love all that extra fur in the yard to help their nests. Plus it's interesting to watch the underlying breeds emerge and her suddenly think the dog in the mirror isn't her because she looks so different. So all of this is to let you know the level of hair we're dealing with. I first started out this journey before she started shedding really heavily, with the orange box of Bounce dryer sheets that is meant to help with cats and dogs that shed. The sheets are supposedly like two or two and a half times the size of normal sheets and sometimes I would even rip them up into quarters and sort of toss them around in the load and would put 2 (so really 5 regular sized) sheets in for bedding. I probably should mention that I have an up and down washer dryer combo so my loads are going to be much smaller than your average load, and when I say an up and down combo I mean like from 20 years ago, not the modern ones with the front loaders. The washing machine is a top loader. So when the dryer sheets alone didn't work I went and spent a fortune on various balls and sponges and this and that and the other that you would put in either the machine for the wash or in the dryer in order to catch the hair. That did nothing either. We're taking human clothes still, not dog beds. So about a year ago one of Amazon sales I noticed that the new Suavitel in the blue container said it was good for pet hair. So I went ahead and bought it and I'm very fussy with smells, so I'm very happy that that it smells really good. The only trouble is I see at best a 5% difference between just the dryer sheets and then the dryer sheets plus that fabric softener for her hair. I also wish that they would make the fabric softener in a container larger than this, because in my house that's less than two weeks worth and it's an absurd amount of plastic waste (I recycle but still). Although I do fill the softener all the way up to the very top of the cap, which I'm sure is more than what you're supposed to be using (it wasn't working as well at the designated level of half that). I do periodically just use plain old vinegar to try to remove some of the excess oils or residue or whatnot that soaps and softeners leave behind. Time and time again I've had people come up to me and say wow oh my goodness you smell so good what perfume are you wearing? And I don't wear perfume because like I said I have allergies, although now with this new dog I'm on so many allergy pills and sprays I could probably snort dander and it wouldn't do anything to me. But I do have a combination of the orange pet dryer sheets from Bounce and then this blue liquid fabric softener from Suavitel. And that's what I tell them it is. I'm in an area where a lot of people know Suavitel is a brand for softener, because before this when I was using the yellow one and somebody commented to ask, they had no idea it was even something that you use for laundry softener - I think they were confusing it with Fabuloso because they asked about slippery floors, but either way they didn't know what it was. I have yet to see this on any of the shelves in physical stores in real life, I'm wondering if along with the fact that it's only coming in this one size that maybe they're doing like a test marketing kind of thing where they see if it takes off, and then from there they might increase the amount of stores that they put it in and change the different sizes that they make it available in. If they decide to pull the plug and not continue to make it, I really hope they tell people because I do really like the smell, second place to the one in the yellow container, and I would absolutely buy like two or three cases to hold on to if they were going to stop making it. So like I said, if it were just on getting rid of the dog fur that attaches to me it would be getting one to maybe 2 stars and that's it because as far as I'm concerned it's not doing its job as something marketed for hair. I can start out in the morning with my robe and within an hour I look like Chewbacca or in a Halloween dog or costume minus tail. But when it comes to doing a good job with fabric softener making things soft, even without using the dryer sheets, it works. Plus, it's still nice and soft as far as making things smell really good, which could be a negative if you have really bad allergies, but it's a positive for this. I think it's doing really well as an alternative for the yellow bottle that I used to be getting. Like I said before, I wish that it came in an ounce for ounce kind of comparison to the bigger ones where I'm not having to pay more for this blue bottle versus the yellow bottle (and the plastic waste). It would probably help if I actually put the amount of softener in that they claim but like I said it did nothing smell or hair wise. For now I'm sticking with it because with the amount of hair that my dog sheds there are two things: number one I have no idea how she's not bald, and number two I will take any and all help that I can get even if it's not perfect. Her favorite way to wake me up in the middle of the night let me know that she has to go out is to just put her head right over mine (she 7 feet when on back legs and about 150 pounds) until she wakes me up and I'm scared half to death by this 150 pound dog that's slobbering all over me and licking my face mid dream (she's a sweetie in real life), so she does get a lot of dog hair in that face area right up near your nose (the hair loves to stick to damp surfaces) which would affect your allergies in your eyes and things like that, and I have noticed a very slight difference as far as it not being quite as bad with having to knock off the hair from on my pillow. Now if she would only stop trying to give me a heart attack at 4:00 a.m. and it would just hold it for one extra hour, then we'd be great. I have lint rollers in every room - I have the sticky kind, the reusable kind you use in one direction, the reusable sticky kind you rinse - you name it. I even have one that I carry in my bag as a travel one because stupid me bought a black backpack and so it looks like I'm wearing my dog on my back when I leave the house and I've accidentally set off allergies of others (she gets weekly baths that the vet suggested with Rx allergy shampoo even). Like I said, the rating was really hard to do and so that's why I basically split the difference because if it's not doing the job it's supposed to do then why buy the blue one? And in my opinion, it's not doing it in a way that's substantially life-changing. But it's also not completely horrible and completely overpriced for the size of what it is and so for now I'll stick with it since the other features work and it does help with hair a little bit. ... show more
