This product is great aftershave. I first learned of it when my barber applied it after getting a straight razor shave. At home I've gone old school when it comes to shaving. I use an Edwin Jagger DE89 chrome all metal safety razor (where you change out the flat blades similar to the one my dad used when I was a kid). There aren't any lubrication strips on these old school razors like there is on the razors that accept cartridge replacement blades, so I often have micro nicks when I'm done shaving. When I finish shaving and rinse my face I apply the Suavicito Bay Rum. At first I experience a half second sting from the alcohol, but then my face is treated to the cooling and calming from the bay and clove oils (cloves are a natural numbing agent). As mentioned in earlier posts, the scent doesn't last as long as some would like it to. The cooling and calming effect is what I'm going for, and the clove fragrance is a bonus. I use a cologne for longer lasting fragrance.

The product is nice, however, it smells of cloves not Bay rum. Clove is a nice smell all the same.

This is a pleasant-smelling aftershave that feels very nice on the skin. It's alcohol based so it gives you that nice sting after a shave. It's not menthol-strong but you can feel it. The scent only lasts a short time. The reason I'm giving it three starts is I don't find it any better or more unique than Clubman's Virgin Bay Rum. They are both heavy on the clove scent and don't last long. Might as well get Clubman since you get more product for less money. The glass bottle Suavecito comes in is a nice touch though. Worth a try but don't expect anything much more different than Clubman.

Like so many other of the single star reviews, this Bay Rum aftershave smells like Cloves-overpoweringly so. I'm not getting much if any "rum" and when I put it on it stunk the bathroom so much my wife wont go near me until I shower again. Like someone else said, smells like a lab accident got mixed into their production batch, but Come on Man! Where's the Quality Control? This is aweful!

not too weak and not too strong. Clove scent but something else too. Nice face feel and I had very little burn. A bottle that dispenses easily and a super cool skeleton man on the label. Couldn't ask for more. To me similar to Gabel's but better. Stopper is removeable which is nice. Edit: Liked it so much I just ordered another.

I’ve been looking for this exact aftershave for years! My old barber used it and it took some digging but I finally found it, great smell right after a close shave (doesn’t last too long) and closes up my pores like any other after shave. Seriously can’t recommend this enough but the nostalgia definitely makes me a bit biased.
