I've been using a shorter pair of scissors for years, so it was nice to try something with longer blades. They're very light and look good in the blue finish. I like the finger stud for stabilization, which I've never had on a pair of scissors before. The pivot screw is brass and screws into what appears to be a plastic bushing, which should help keep the tightness at a set level. Not sure if the plastic would be a weakness in the long-term, but this type of scissor is not intended for heavy torque use anyway. The two blades arrived with a little bit of wiggle, but the edges make even contact when cutting so I haven't tightened the screw. Good product photos which show dimensions, the important one for me being the cutting length of about 2.5". I'll update after encounter a problem after a few hundred more cuts. 4.5 stars. ... show more

I really like these scissors because they have a couple terrific features not typically found in ordinary hair cutting scissors. They have a removable finger rest which I have not seem before. Personally, I like the finger rest. One of my favorite features is the rubber lining inside the finger holes. They prevent the scissors from riding up my fingers during use. This is a great feature. These scissors feel substantial in your hands. It might sound weird, but I have ordered hair cutting scissors in the past that weren't very sharp, felt flimsy during use, or were uncomfortable to hold. This pair is none of those things. These razer sharp scissors are great scissors for hair cutting. The blades have fine ridges, almost like serrations but not, that help keep hair from slipping. I think the thing i like most about these, is the little tail at the end of one of the rings. Its there for your other finger to keep a steady hand makes the scissor holding game a lot easier.
