  • Good sax wall mount. Would buy again.
I bought two. Drilled into studs. Built strong. Good metal and clean looking. Able to hold the sax no problem. Would buy again!

  • Works!
Harder to install than my flute and ukuleles wall mounts, but does the job!

  • Requires a bit of know-how, but it's an excellent product
I read other reviews that stated this product cannot hold a Yamaha Alto Saxophone YAS-21, 23, 26, 62 etc. These horns have the long guard over the low keys. I went ahead and purchased them anyway to try them out, since my only other reasonable option was to purchase the Locoparasaxo brand for twice as much. I actually tried to purchase the Locoparasaxo stands and they don't presently ship to the United States. I purchased 2 of these and the shape of the bent metal was significantly different between the 2 products. The manufacturing process is inconsistent, but in my case, it made it so that I can actually fit my Yamaha YAS-62 onto it. The photos show that the clearance is extremely close, but the horn does not hit the stand. I am 42 years old and have had these saxes since I was 14, to give you an idea of how particular I am about taking care of my instruments. I have an air compressor and I blow these instruments off once per week, along with swabbing and wiping them down regularly. If you buy these, they are not "plug-and-play." You need to be able to bend the metal to fit your sax exactly how you like. I'm not a pro when it comes to this kind of thing, but you need to have a bit of know-how to make these work. Not all saxes are the same, so I am giving this company a free pass with regard to me needing to modify them slightly as the customer. Be sure to drill into studs. I didn't have to do very much modifying to make the tenor saxophone fit, just a little bit of metal bending on the top holder. ... show more

  • Very stable and simple to install
I purchased two of these wall mounts to get my tenor and alto up off the floor. Installation took less than 5 minutes per, very simple. I used the supplied drywall screws, they worked great and the stands are mounted securely. Some reviewers get overly concerned about using drywall screws, I’ve had two heavy bass guitars hanging on my walls with drywall screws for 20+ years. No issues. The adjustable resting hooks are simple to adjust and lick in firmly when the set screw is tightened. The brackets are very sturdy and the metal cradles for the sax bell aren’t going to bend or deform. The material used where the bell and body rest on the bracket supplies adequate cushioning and is non slip. Great product!!! ... show more

  • Almost 5 stars
This product works better than fine. I actually own 5 of these. I'd give it 4.5 stars if I could. The only issue I had was the bottom brackets can be difficult to secure without having to really crank that screw. Sometimes you can tighten it as tight as possible and a bad bump can cause it to twist on the rod and come loose. I trust String Swings with all of my soprano and alto sax's, and only worry slightly on the tenors. Would I buy this again? Absolutely. I have others by the same company for my trumpets and will continue to purchase these if (okay, when) my collection continues to grow. ... show more

  • Sturdy, good customer service.
I did what the other guy suggested in his review and mounted it upside down, so that the weight of the sax is supported closer to the wall mount, and the long arm extends up to the bell. It seems perfectly stable to me. The bell and body arms have a nonslip surface to them that keeps it from tilting out of how I have it positioned. Was easy to put together. Can hardly see it behind my alto. Also, the package was missing a bracket screw when it first arrived. They had a replacement screw mailed to my house. It arrived within a week of me contacting them. I use this brand for hanging guitars and am equally pleased with those items. When I have instruments to display in the future, I will check out this brand first to see what they have available. Thanks! ... show more
