Easily accepts 5 guitars of various sizes (Dreadnaughts, Electrics, etc.). Has to be mounted to studs to be secure (at least two studs). I don't understand some of the reviews that complained about installation. It was pretty straight forward if you have very basic carpentry skills. You do need a metal bit to drill the holes in the slat. My only complaint about this unit is that connection of the hangers to the slat itself are not a great fit (a little sloppy). They provide plastic clips (pictured at the bottom of the closeup) that are supposed to anchor the bottom of the hanger once you get it into place. The clips don't fit very well and could be easily snapped in two with too much pressure. The hangers are adjustable side to side and also can be angled to accept different size guitars. Overall, I'm very happy to have my guitars off the ground and in one place. It makes for a nice presentation and is aesthetically pleasing. 4.5 stars! ... show more

I’d like to the thank the guy who gave the “Good idea, poorly executed” review, it gave me ideas to get mine installed when I ran into some issues. StringSwing… I strongly agree with him that you might want to consider slotted tracks and a track insert the customer can slide in after mounting the rails. Also, shortening the arms by 2-3” would be good for those who mount guitars at 0-45 degrees. As is, they are sticking way out there. I guess they’re good for those who mount their guitars at 90 degrees, but for those who don’t, this would greatly reduce the leverage force being applied to the rail and mounting screws. Maybe make the arm length an option? To my fellow guitarists: This is a strong and attractive product that brings that professional look to your studio or home, and displays your instruments nicely. So buy it and here are my install suggestions; I recommend using a center punch to start your holes, drill with a 1/8” bit, then a 3/16”, and finish with a deburring tool. This technique minimized damage to the black plastic track insert and made my installation go much quicker and easier! ... show more

After getting it installed I am very happy with it's aesthetic and functionality. My only complaint revolves around the products installation. All of the fundamentally important components are easy to install, but it comes with two end caps that are meant to be installed using double sided tape. Even though it was 3M, it was absolutely awful with no hold. I will need to glue the caps on there. The caps are mostly for aesthetics but also serve to prevent the guitar holders from sliding out of the channel. ... show more

I ordered this to get my guitars off the floor and still have easy access. It can hold up to 5 guitars but I only added 4 to display the better. The hangers can rotate to angle them if you want to add the fifth guitar. I installed it in about 30 minutes using a drill and a level - quite simple. I spent the extra $20 for the Walnut print finish and I am glad I did. It looks great with the wood doors in my office. Now my wife is happy and I am happy! ... show more

I love how many this holds. I bought two and installed them along the same wall. Very easy to set up so long as you have basic tools and a level. Each holder can be adjusted to allow for different shaped headstocks and can also be swiveled. While it feels like it may give way under all the weight, I have yet to encounter any issues with it.
