To be honest, this show did not really need a Blu Ray release. The image really does not look that much different from my DVD. The sound quality is fine, nothing amazing. But I'm glad I have this in my collection. Let's hope that we get some other 90's cartoons on Blu ray in the future if the sales are good. I talking about "Mighty Max" but I realize that maybe just a dream...I get the feeling that show will never see BR release, let alone a DVD release. Something more realistic would be "Biker Mice From Mars", we can only hope. ... show more

    • It would have been nice if they had actually remastered it…
I think it’s great when old shows, ESPECIALLY cartoons, get a new release of any kind but I feel like the only benefit of these SD on BD releases is to fit all episodes on 1-2 discs.. Street Sharks had like.. one season and the toys are more remembered than the show is but for those of us that DO remember the show, it would have been so much better to see these episodes ACTUALLY remastered into HD than to have them squeeze every episode in SD on one disc. It’s also not really fair to create the illusion that this is any different from the DVD release…because it’s not. These are the exact same digital transfers we got on DVD years ago. The picture is no different, the audio is no different… The only reason anyone is under the impression that there’s even the slightest improvement is because your Blu-Ray player is connected to your HDTV via HDMI and the signal is being upscaled. If you put the original DVD into your Blu Ray Player, the exact same thing would happen. If you don’t already own the Street Sharks DVD, then by all means, go for it. However, if you are able to find the DVD for less than this blu ray set or if you already own the DVD, stick with that because you are missing absolutely nothing. ... show more
