Excellent penlight, its small, lightweight, very durable its been dropped through engine bays countless times, its resistant to quick drops in automotive fluids and water, the o ring seal that protects the charging port works great. Ive used Streamlight Stylus penlights for a long time and this one is just as durable, more than twice as bright, is smaller, and costs significantly less to run. The money I save not buying batteries has paid for this flashlight a dozen times over in the few years I have used it. The pocket clip is fantastic the double bend in it allows it to slip into your pocket easily and allows you to clip it to the bill of a hat as a headlamp, the clip holds the light securely in your pocket and doesn't easily pop off the body of the flashlight, that is an annoying and very common problem with other lights I own which is why I glue them in place. (glued this one too) The rechargeable battery gives +50% brightness for 2-3 days for how much I use it which is short periods that are usually 30 seconds to a few minutes at a time at least a dozen times throughout the day. The battery life is comparable to the life I was getting out of 2 lithium AAA batteries in larger/longer flashlights like the Stylus the only difference is when I notice its running down I just leave it on to drain the battery so I can recharge it instead of limping along with a light that is too dim for a day or two to not waste money, most importantly I don't worry about using it "too much" since I am not paying for expensive lithium batteries. From completely dead to fully charged takes about an 1.5-2 hours (never timed it but that's a good estimate) but if the battery is dead and you just want to use it 15-20 minutes on the charger gets you plenty of brightness and usable run time. In summary this is a fantastic, small, lightweight, fairly bright, durable rechargeable penlight that performs better than the comparable AAA 2 battery lights I have owned from every major brand. Buy one you will not regret it.

The Streamlight MicroStream USB is an excellent little flashlight for everyday carry. Despite its ultra-compact size, the 250-lumen output provides plenty of light for everything from finding your way around at night to working in tight spaces. I really like the rechargeable USB design—no need to constantly keep spare batteries around. It’s lightweight, easy to carry in a pocket, and feels very well-built. The coyote finish also gives it a rugged look. This is one of those tools that’s easy to carry every day and incredibly handy when you need it. Great size, great brightness, and excellent quality. Definitely recommend!

Half the size of a pen, brighter than you would expect. I use it for daily carry, work and around the house. Cool looking simple but bright flashlight. The clip is nice, double sided so you can clip it IN your pocket or ON the brim of your hat, effectively making it function as a headlamp. This is the second that I purchased and I will buy another if and when this one decides to stop working properly. My first one lasted 5 years and I lost it. I'm sure whoever found it still uses it to this day. Well worth the money for a reliable and useful flashlight.

Short review: Buy it, its a great budget EDC flashlight that comes in handy. Small, light weight and bright. Also great customer service. Long ass review version: The item that I had purchased was the coyote tan brown microstream streamlight. This item is one of my personal favorite Every Day Carry item. I purchase this item because of the size, lumen output and clip functionality. I decided to go with the coyote tan because of its high beam first function instead of low beam first. I thought it would be a useful tactic to blind someone if you ever had to use it to defend yourself in a dark environment. This little light can brighten up a room and 250 lumens from this light can temporally blind people if it were to shine in their eyes. Since the on switch is a tail switch, you could a handgun in one hand and use the momentarily light function (half compression) in the other hand to clear the rooms at night. Although a dedicated gun light would service better but this is a great option if you don't have one. The light is small and light weight so it won't take up room in your pocket or wherever you decide to store it. The dual clip function is a great way to go hands free by simply clipping it to your hat and it small enough to hold in your mouth if you decide to do that as well. I must mention that it doesn't provide the best grip on a cap so I would steer away if you are doing extreme movement while having it clipped there. The button is a bit hard to decompress if you have super weak hands. But on the plus side, I have never had the light go on in my pocket which to me is a big plus because I want the light to go on when I need it and a dead flashlight isn't a useful flash light. As for switching it from high mode to low mode, its not that challenging to adapt to. USB charging is convenient if you have a portable charger or a wall outlet near by. If you are really depending on needing a full battery in the nick of time, just carry another LI-ION to pop it in and boom you got yourself a working flashlight again. I also put a glow in the dark rubber band around the flashlight, which is a great and simple modification to seek your flashlight in the dark when it sitting on your counter or if you happen to drop it. I will mention that the flashlight that I received had an issue. The first initial compression put the low setting first then but after that it would turn the brightest setting on. After a couple of minutes of non use it will reset to the lowest setting again when I would compress it again. But I spoke with Mark the costumer service manager. The item has a lifetime warranty and I was able to get my light replaced. So if you have an issue, I would advise that you speak with the costumer service team before bashing on the product as they do up hold great service. It did take awhile for a response but I will give them the benefit of the doubt since it was close to SHOT Show and dealing with whining costumers can be a pain. So with any retail member please remember if you are patient and courteous, I'm sure they will treat you accordingly. I think the streamlight microstream is a great item to have and carry. $30 won't break the bank either if it mysteriously dissappears. Hope you enjoyed the essay.

The flashlights arrived all in one piece. We got a blue one and a black one. They’re very tiny they say micro stream but until you get them in your hand, you’re not really sure how micro they are, but they’re very tiny and it’s a little challenging to push the button down to keep it on solid But push it to flash the light and it took a minute to find where the USB charger was but you have to pull down the twisty part of narrowing or making the flashlight wider to find it, which is a good place for it because it says it’s to keep debris and water out so overall it’s cute but I want something bigger the ability to charge. It is a good because you don’t have to have batteries always on hand. It’s good for about 300 uses 300 charges batteries 300 charges and it came with the charging cable and lanyard that breaks away and adjust to whatever size you want it to be around your neck or your wrist or whatever Overall it’s nice looking but we want something bigger and more lumens. This one has high of 250 lm is waterproof uses USB rechargeable lithium ion battery and it’s got high and low and sliding sleeve. That was the sleeve part where the USB is to buy stream again, just a bigger one larger one so , it could be hidden hidden. I give it a 4 out of 5 because it Is too small for our hands. We will buy another Streamlight.

I've been along time stream-light stylus pro user as a mechanic. It's a rock solid light and I've never killed one, only lost them. I'm changing careers to work in mental health now and was looking for something a bit smaller and with more throw (clients don't like to run off in the day as much) battery life has become less important and I no longer have constant access to company funded batteries. The micro stream definitely fits the bill size and weight wise. It disappears in my pocket and the pocket clip is decent to the extent that I've used it. It is a bit of seat belt grabber but not too bad. The visor clip feature works pretty well, it's actually too thin for my hat but you can clip it on a collar or something but it does a good job of staying put. I really liked the modes of the original stylus pro: lost, and working flawlessly. However the dual modes on the micro stream doesn't get in the way. It's easy to choose a mode and it has no mode "memory" so it's always the same when you go to use it, and thank heaven no pointless strobe mode. In my opinion, this is flashlight modes done right. The button is firm and doesn't click on accidentally. If you don't have a ton of hand strength or expect to be slippery the small size might make the button slightly hard to push but it's far from a deal breaker Fit and finish is excellent. I expect a good item from streamlight but this thing is surefire pretty. We'll see how the finish holds up, but even the way the charger shield closes is seriously next level. The o rings are standard size so it's easy to grab replacements. The lense seems pretty hard and hasn't scratched even after riding with change in a pocket. the clip detatches perfectly if it get snagged but never comes undone otherwise. This light demonstrates why streamlight is one of the best value in lights The battery life is pretty good, with moderate edc use, I've not had it die on me yet. Recharge time isn't too bad mine was about 4 hours from totally dead and it doesn't over charge itself if you forget about it. It has a replaceable battery that is maybe a bit expensive, but dead easy to replace. The replaceable battery is a big thing to me, I can keep an extra around and have an instant recharge when I need one, and lets face it, no one uses a flashlight just for funnzies. I'll update the review if things change, but so far I'm pretty stoked about this little light.

Great low-profile flashlight. Pocket real estate is at a premium for me, so the size of these is perfect. I often have to use my mouth to hold flashlights at work so I can use both hands, and this has been the most comfortable flashlight my lips have clasped. I use it everyday and I use it A LOT. I have to keep an extra one of these in my backpack because sometimes the battery runs out before my workday is over, but usually it lasts me all day. Love that it’s rechargeable. I used it for over a year before I noticed it started to die quicker. I just replaced the old battery with a new stream light rechargeable battery, and it was like new again. Still WAY cheaper than a flashlight that just uses standard AA/AAA or CR123 batteries. I work on cars, so I’m never using it for anything more than 6 feet away, but for my purposes, this flashlight has been the gold-standard I measure all small handheld flashlights against. The amount of brightness you get for the size of the flashlight is top tier. The pocket clip snapped and broke on my first one after a couple years, but like I said, I use this all day everyday. I’d still say the durability is great for the price. I had to remove the pocket clip on my new one and squeeze it with some pliers to make it clamp down tighter because it kept falling off my pocket. Since then I haven’t had any issues. Love this little flashlight. I went through about 5 or 6 small flashlights before I found this one. This one is better in every way. As long as the price doesn’t go any higher it’s a 10/10 will buy again when I inevitably lose mine.
