This wall mount surfboard storage kit is great! I bought it to replace my Nice Rack! wall mount kit that kept having issues with the plastic arms snapping where they connected to the wall. This solution installs in less than 10 minutes. I have 8 boards stacked (2 LBs, 2 fish, 4 thrusters) in it and it is solid, prob due to the fact that it is made of 100% metal. The arms are angled upwards so that the boards stack snuggly against the wall with less protrusion out into the room than any other wall mount solution I have used. Each arm has a nice rubber liner on it to protect your boards...just hoping it does not dry out and start flaking off as rubber can sometimes do after time. Even the supplied mounting screws are white to match the color of the rack...nice touch! Only complaint is that the arms are a little loosy-goosy after they are attached to the wall plate...they sway back and forth...not at risk of boards falling just wish they held firm. Highly recommended by a veteran surfer! ... show more

We were able to easily mount it in the garage. It took like five minutes to install once we found the studs. It easily holds four boards and we were able to make 5 fit by stacking a couple foam boards on top of each other…So nice to have them off the ground! Make sure you leave room for fins and check the top board to make sure you can get it out from the ceiling or garage door or whatever you have. ... show more

    • Easy to install, but rack arms are kind of wobbly and rubber comes off.

This is generally an okay rack. But the arms fall out really easily if you bump them when there is no board on them. They are fine with the boards on them, I have never had a board fall. So it just makes it a pain when a rack space is empty for if you bump the arm (upward) while putting your board away, the arm will just pop off and fall on the floor. So it would be nice if they locked in tighter. ...And the rubber strips covering the rack arms comes off really easily and repeatedly. So this rack is better for long term storage, not great for every day use. ... show more

You don’t need a whole lot of tools besides a drill to make pilot holes and a socket wrench. This rack is perfect for my garage. It makes my tiny garage able to store my giant boards and I’m still able to park inside. I’ve tried many other board racks and this one is by far worth the money. This is great not only for boards, but for other stuff like beach umbrellas and fishing poles. My only complaint would be the arms can be a bit wobbly, especially if the weight is not distributed across both (like I have on the bottom here). But other than that assembly was easy just make sure you are level! ... show more

Finally my quiver of longboards is nicely stowed off the floor and out of the way. Easy installation with directions. The arms do wiggle a bit, but that doesn’t affect their sturdiness. I have four 9 foot boards happily stacked.

I purchased this rack system to replace an older rack and handle a couple more boards. The rack came nicely packaged without a lot of excess. It may seem simple to install but folks need to read the directions first. A few reviews say that the rack arms are loose and flop around. The directions clearly state to tap the arms into place with a rubber mallet. Once you do they lock into place and are solid. I had this rack up in 20 minutes and it looks great.
