It’s a stopwatch…it has a number of features that seem nice but I’m using this to time my daughter’s sports. If you hold down the red mode button on the date/time display, it will turn off. That seems to be the solution to others issues complaint that the battery runs down. This was not mentioned in the instructions. The instructions are horrible! Very confusing and uses letters like A or B with discussing the buttons, however those are nowhere on a diagram. I eventually figured operation on my own but the instruction manual needs a lot of work or at least point to a website that is better written. ... show more

I didn't care for this stopwatch and I returned it. The buttons felt mushy and didn't click like my other stopwatches. I also noticed that this stopwatch would chime every hour, and that drove me to madness. I couldn't figure out how to turn that "feature" off. Returned it within 48 hours.

First, as others said, there is absolutely no way to shut it off. Okay, you manage. But following the instructions, I tried to reset the watch to 00000 to use it as a stopwatch, and NOTHING WORKED. It didn't reset to zero, it just kept going. Buttons did not respond. When I'm timing someone, I cannot take the chance that the stopwatch is not going to respond. I have other timers, but they are hard to read.. this has 1/2 " numbers that are easy to read numbers.. My watch is bright yellow and easy to find.
