DO NOT BUY I bought these with the intention of using a UV light to read. Unfortunately they are not uv active. The listing has been updated since I made my purchase and now no longer claims that they are UV active. This is a waste of money for me since I need the uv active plates.     • False advertising that has since been corrected
I initially bought these plates because the Amazon product description stated that these TLC plates were rated for “high fluorescence” upon receiving these plates I immediately examined them under both a 254nm UV light and a 365nm UV light in a completely darkened room. To my surprise the plates did not fluoresce at all. I contacted the seller and they told me thr part of the product description stating “high fluorescence” was wrong and not true and that these plates do not fluoresce. The seller told me they would correct that information immediately. Nonetheless, this was a large waste of time and money and the lack of detail on the part of the seller cost me. I am returning these plates immediately as a result of the false advertising. ... show more
