This TLC cutter works just as well as the ones you would buy from big name laboratory suppliers and comes at a fraction of the price. I was able to score and dice 2 plates in just 5 minutes with no cracks or jagged edges. The marks on the ruler helps to get uniform size. It had a strong citric acid smell and magic marker marks on the scale. It also was very difficult to measure the cutting point since the scale was not numbered and had a lot of play. I tightened it but still did not figure out how to measure from the middle point.
