We have six semis running mostly dirt roads, so we fix a lot of flats. I had priced similar tools for around $400 in the past, but when I ran across this set for just over $100 I had to order. First, the three prong. Break the bead, step on the tool to push it down between the tire and wheel. Pry up, and the outside is off. The next step is a little fiddly at first. You have to get the top lip (when you try it you’ll know what I’m talking about) inside the tire. When it happens, you’ll feel it. Pry up again and the tire is off. Takes maybe 15 seconds once you get the knack. The pry tool is the second part. With the lip, it actually works better than my favorite spoon. Had a nice angle and good length for leverage. Overall, I wish I’d bought them sooner. I was afraid they wouldn’t be very good because they were just too cheap. If you fix/swap more than two or three tires they are paid for. Plus it cuts your time way way down. I figured I was pretty fast with a couple of spoons I could swap a tire in maybe 3-5 minutes. Now I can probably do it in 1 if it everything works right. When I first got my order I noticed the box was ripped on one side I took it to my garage and opened it up only to find I was missing all the hardware to attach the handles to the mount and dismount part. Fortunately I had some screws and nuts that fit the holes so I was able to use the tools I have street tires on semi wheels for my dually truck. If you’re a person like me and wanted to buy this tire tool set to save money and mount your own tires don’t buy the set because the tool to pull your tire off does not fit between the semi wheel and the bead of the tire. stick with the conventional tire tool set and avoid buying this unless you have actual semi tires on semi wheels. This review it’s not based on the durability or the quality. this review it’s based off the poor packaging and the lack of information stating This tire tool set a for semi tires and semi wheels only.
