  • Forget the Joola and other mid-size tables. This one is the correct scaled size to regulation and beats them all.
Style: Blue
Wow, what a difference. I bought the Joola model mid-size ping pong table first and it's no comparison. Firstly, this is the only table that truly matches the correct ratio of a full-size regulation table. The finished size of the table is 72x x 40 vs other tables like the Joola that are 72x36. I think they wanted to make each half a square, so you can utilize the tables are multi-purpose tables. But if you are into ping pong and just don't have the room for a full-size table, you'll at least want to keep to scaling the regulation size. But that's not all that's nice about this table. The legs are square and sturdy, much sturdier than the thin aluminum ones that come on the thinner top tables. The frame is also beefier. The first table I ordered from a competitor, had all the frame screws falling out, since the particle board top is only a 1/2" thick. I believe this one is 5/8 and that makes all the difference. Ok, what's the bad part? The net posts are pretty flimsy. Very thin metal that bend and flex pretty bad. Why they threw a cheap net and posts on such a nice table is beyond me. The corner guards are also flimsy and were broken off on my table, even though it was brand new and had protective guards in the box. Hope this helps others make the decision. I would highly recommend the table and would buy it again, despite the cons mentioned above. ... show more

  • More Bounce To The Ounce
Style: Blue
I am no novice. I was the Cheshire St. (La Mirada, CA) neighborhood champion for about two weeks in the summer of 1967. Later, during my college years, I played my bhang-hitting, beer-drinking buds on a half-size table that was just as fun as the real thing. When I saw this 2/3 scale table, which can store easily in my wood rack in the garage, I threw down the moola when Amazon offered it on sale. UPS tried mightily to destroy the carton in transit. It was brutalized, ripped, and bent. I was shocked when I unpacked a perfectly unscathed, beautiful little table from the well-armored packing. It took about 5 minutes to unfold and assemble. The glides adjusted nicely to level on my garage floor. The materials and finish are first rate. The surface plays true and fast. I am ready to defend my glorious legacy to all comers once again! ... show more

  • A lot of fun, great quality, space saver
Style: Blue
Overall this table went beyond my expectations in any way. We got it 5 days ago and I am not lying if I say we played for at least 10 hours combined since. I didn’t want to deal with a full size table for variety of the reasons so I decided to go for a mini. I did research online and STIGA mini tables seemed to be have best features including adjustable feet height which if you live in older house are must have otherwise table halves will not align. It took me literary 5 minutes to open the box, set the table and install the net, no assembly of any kind needed. I played on a smaller tables in a past so I knew what to expect, however this table stands out simply because of its appearance and quality build. Surface finish is very nice and ball bounce is incredible, it sounds exact same as a full size table. When it comes to playability you want to look at this table from a perspective it is a mini. In essence you can pull all moves and spins as you would do on a full size, however you need to be gentle and more precise. For example two skilled players can step back 3 feet from table and exchange pretty fast balls for a long time. Tweaking your serve on a smaller table means you’ll be unbeatable on a full size and same goes for top and back spins. When it comes to kids I think smaller tables help them became better players as well, lucky shots often work on a full size tables but definitely not on minis. Lastly, racket rubber quality is a very important, especially on a shorter table, so I suggest getting a pair of very good rackets, stiga, joola, butterfly, etc., same applies to balls, get a nice three star balls. ... show more

  • Perfect for smaller rooms
Style: Blue
When I ordered this ping-pong table, I didn't know that it would be such a great piece of sporting equipment. It's incredibly heavy-duty and sturdy. It comes apart in the middle -- the two halves do not connect except by the addition of the net brackets -- and it folds up well. Because it is so heavy-weight, it can be a little harder to store, but it's well-protected, too. What's really cool is that you can feel comfortable using a half of a table for other activities -- or even as a small table for eating. As far as playing ping-pong on it, it seems to have a really good bounce off the table and a even playing surface. We had it set up in our living room, which is a little bit of a confined space and we were able to successfully play several games. The table does not come with paddles and balls even though they are in our photos. We added those later. I was really impressed with how level the table was -- even on thick carpet. This is a great option for people who want to play ping-pong, but have limited space. ... show more
