Well let me start by saying this is a beautiful chain, the luster is great and has maintained its look so far. Went with the longest length and its a great fit. The lobster clasp was important to me as it allows you to easily take on and off the chain. Also, I have a pretty heavy pendant hanging on the chain and its holding up pretty well. (I previously bought a much cheaper "sterling silver chain" NOT from this retail that subsequently broke after a few uses). Finally, I really like the design of this chain, "snake", very silky, smooth and pliable. After a couple minutes on your neck you quickly forget it's there! All in all, I'm very happy with this purchase, would DEFINATELY RECCOMEND if your looking for something high quality and at a reasonable price. ... show more

I needed something that is attractive, yet sturdy, that would wear well with another necklace that I never take off, and this is it! It is a rounded "snake chain", so the links are rounded and smooth, so it never gets caught on anything; it feels like liquid silk if you run it through your fingers.     • Clasp needed a slight adjustment
The necklace is fine, but the opening on the clasp needs to be a little larger, which would make it easier to use. Not a major problem as I was able to bend it enough to make it useable.

I have purchased several of these from this company and when they come they are so beautiful that you get excited. HOWEVER...if you use it weekly (I have several necklaces and switch up most of them daily) it WILL NOT LAST. This particular style necklace ( I have the 18" and the 22", 0.9mm, snake), have both bent and the end broke off of one and I had to try and glue it back on. I was disappointed and even more disappointed that I had purchased several over the months and given them as gifts. I DID reach out to the company asking if this was common and was told that "no, it is not common." and was also told that a heavy pendant could wear it down and maybe cause it to break or become weak. I do not have ANY pendants or charms that I use so therefore this was not the cause. I also take very good care of my necklaces and hang them up nightly or lay them flat. Summary: IN MY OPINION....Invest in a better-quality chain. The price may be enticing but you will be replacing it in less than a year so it is worth it to go ahead and put a little more money into a chain that will last a little longer. ... show more

Before I begin I’d like to make it clear I almost never write reviews, and I have never written a bad review, but I felt I needed to for this one unfortunately:( I ordered this chain with very high hopes & ignored the bad reviews. Upon arrival I loved the chain, it was the perfect size, weight, and it looked nice, shiny, and high quality. But within an hour of wearing it I noticed (as other reviews stated) that it was tangling and ripping out all of the hair on the bottom of my hairline! But I still was hopeful and was willing to give the benefit of the doubt for such a beautiful chain. I went to take it off so that I could remove the mangled hair and put it back on, but when I went to take the necklace off (without tugging or pulling) it literally just BROKE right down the middle as if it was a cheap chain you’d win with tickets in a kids arcade. I mainly was just afraid of what could have happened if it broke while out and about, and I could’ve possibly lost my pendant I was wearing that is very important to me. Anyways, I don’t mean to talk down on this company, I just really hope they read the reviews and make the necessary changes to better the quality of their jewelry. ... show more
