Used these to go under a shelf I built on my closet and to get organized in another area of the closet. These containers were the only ones that fit properly in the space. These containers matched the dimensions in the description and arrived well packed and without damage. Can’t ask for more!

These latch close shoe boxes are big enough for heels and sneakers with the larger sole. They arrived in perfect condition, and they are sheer enough to see the shoes, but not clear, if that’s what is desired. I bought a set of 12 of these storage containers because I needed properly sized boxes to go with my new Amazon Basics 5-Shelf Adjustable Heavy Duty Storage Shelf Unit. We set up the shelves so that there are 3 sections 15” high and then there’s a slightly taller shelf at the bottom. With the 15” shelf openings, these fit PERFECTLY when arranged ) six to a shelf, three across and two stacked up with the narrow end showing. They hang off the shelf by a fraction of an inch, but not enough to be problematic or even all that noticeable. (See attached photo if that doesn’t make sense, though apologies that the photo is dark and spooky, just like the basement storage where it was taken!) I wanted something small so they didn’t get too heavy, but also large enough to fit most items, and these seemed like the perfect compromise. The locking handles seem to work well. Weight-wise, I’d say these are average for modern storage tubs. I’ve had both flimsier and heavier. They do have a chemical smell that I’m hoping will go away with time. I’m usually very bothered by smells and wouldn’t want one of these, say, next to my bed. But it’s fine for the basement and I’d take it over either damp musty storage smell or the possibility of pests from something non-plastic. There are a zillion choices for storage tubs, and most of them are probably more or less “fine.” But I’d definitely recommend these as a good option. ... show more
