  • The perfect advent calendar!
My son loves this advent calendar. We have had many others, but this is his favorite! Assembly is simple and only takes a few minutes. The bins are big enough for small toys or candy, and they are easy to open. It is well made, adorable and is well worth the cost. Ilove it so much that I'm buying a second one for my grandson! ... show more

  • Worth the money!
My kids loved this! I will say you really have to take into consideration what you plan to put in it but small objects like candies or little toys are perfect. Think kinder egg but smaller. The price is high but it’s really durable and will last many years.

  • Super cute and fun
I absolutely love and adore this product. I love the idea of advent calendars, but didn’t like the idea of giving my son chocolate every day so I love that I could fill this with whatever I wanted couple things that just to be aware of the drawers are quite small so you can’t really put big toys in them a lot of times I have to put a note in saying go here for your toy. The stability of this thing is a little bit shaky so a lot of times we have to be cleaning up drawers because they fall out easily but if you really love Christmas like I do it’s a perfect addition. ... show more

  • Great item! Assembly takes a time and patience
Love this item once it’s assembled! Instructions are a little confusing and sadly step 2 did not do assembly Video. My tips- - after 30min trying to “push” in the black thumb screws I use the screw driver to widen the holes and they went is easily after that. - pay VERY close attention when putting in the section boards. The slots are not the same and they only completely SNAP in one way - lastly the stickers. These are never going to line up perfectly. Try to line the flat edge 1st. Overall very happy with the product and excited to load it with fun little toys! ... show more

  • NICE IDEA BUT POORLY DESIGNED
The STEP2 MY FIRST ADVENT CALENDER is an appealing product from a well-known and generally respected manufacturer and seller of educational toys for children. However, this product is very poorly designed and almost impossible to assemble. Though the instructions seem simple and relatively concise, the actual assembly requires several steps not included in the instructions. Several push-in connectors are required to assemble the product, but the holes are significantly out of alignment making insertion of push-in pins impossible. You must either enlarge the holes substantially, which renders the pushin pins somewhat ineffective, or you must create new holes which are likely to merge with the existing holes, which also renders the pins ineffective or useless. Four self tapping screws are required to complete the assembly and are meant to be inserted at at a 90 degree angle, but the indents into which the screws must be inserted are angled in a way that makes anything over 45 degress nearly impossible and ends up with the screw caps not seating properly. Once assembled, the little bins that hold the daily prizes are inserted loosely into cavities with no friction to hold them in place. The bottow of these cavities angle slightly downward from back to front causing the little bins to either fall out on their own or to all fall out if the Advent Calender is bumped even slightly. Thus, when a child attempts to retrieve the item for a single day, their actions almost always cause serveral of the bins to fall out. If the Advent Calendar is inadvertantly nugged even slightly, all the bins tumble to the floor. This item is not worth the frustration it causes in both assembly and use. ... show more

  • Not As Good As Expected From Step2
I do like Step2 products and have purchased many of them for the past 30 or so years. This one doesn’t have the screw holes lined up properly. We broke two of the important little black thumb screws trying to get them to go together with the mismatched holes. They are NOT thumb-worthy holes and screws. I’m fairly certain that Step2 would have sent me replacements, but it’s Advent now, and the six panels that went over the screw holes would break if I tried to remove them from the plastic to fix the screw problem by replacing the now missing screws. The roof does not match up well either, so it is actually put together with a side that fits and a side with a gap. The Advent calendar is cute and holds a lot. I was able to get three men’s handkerchiefs in one spot and a pair of xl men’s Christmas socks in another. I’m pleased with the amount each little bin holds (even though I wish it was bigger still. lol) ... show more

  • Fun Advent Calendar
We bought 2 of these for our adult children’s houses for our grand babies in 2024. They were a little bit of a pain to assemble because they were tedious, but my teenage sons assembled them with relative ease. I tried to put the number stickers on and COULD NOT LINE THEM UP PERFECTLY!! The kids got so much enjoyment out of them, I may get one for my house this year. My youngest is 14, and I think he was a little sad we didn’t have one because the countdown was fun. Size wise, each compartment holds a gift about the size of a matchbox car. We put a piece of candy in each along with a little toy. Both households have 2 little ones this year, I think the compartments are big enough for 2 small toys so each child can open something. Goes nicely with the Step 2 My First Christmas Tree. ... show more
