This is what I feed my ferrets one meal a day. All flavors are same in quality. I don’t mash the pellets up, at all. I pour 1 tsp of hot tap water on each pellet and add more water as needed for the pellets to fully reconstitute. I let them sit a few minutes after giving them a good stir. I leave the excess water in the dish because the carpet sharks love drinking that all up first... then they just eat the pellets - they have wicked jaws and teeth so I definitely don’t want to pate the pellets in our case. This is a great value - and the ferrets love them! We have 2 adult (petite) females and a baby male. The females eat 4-5 pellets one meal a day and the other meal, they are supplemented with one of either : Raw chicken : hearts , Gizzards, livers , or wet cat food , or very small amounts of dry kitten food. (The baby ferret is a bottomless pit at the moment, he has no stop button yet. Cannot give out an accurate food measurement for him at this time.)

So I got this because my cat tricked me I to thinking she was out of food so I wanted to spoil here. When it first arrived I Wasnt sure she was into it. She took to the dry food of this brand pretty quickly. So as it's dehydrated they tell you to add equal water and put in the microwave for some time. This was immediately way too hot and produced quite a smell. I had to wait a while before I was comfortable giving it to my kitten. She didn't eat much and it seemed like a bust. The next time she screamed at me I decided to give it a try again. This time I put just enough to cover the bottom of a ramekin sprayed with water, again to cover the bottom, and rolled them around to absorb some of the liquid. I place another ramekin on top of that one to capture the steam and put it in the microwave for 10 seconds. This was perfect just poured out the remaining water and served. No she screams for it every morning. The smell is still there but the screaming stops and the smell dissipates with the air purifier.

This is not just for cats! My hedgehogs absolutely love this! It's super nutritious and must be tasty too, if Moo and Hazel have anything to say about it! They prefer to eat it dry, although, I make sure to keep plenty of water handy. Although, they enjoy all of the flavors, Moo's favorite by far is Duck Duck Goose!

Another expensive lesson learned. Milo has become a picky eater. He has gotten worse over the years, which causes me to question the quality of todays pet foods. This brand was a great choice, as it lacked additives and extra "questionable" ingredients. Freeze dried, to be rehydrated and warmed up a little, sounded like just the stuff Milo would like. NOT! He immediately tried to burry the dish. Not once, not twice, but all 4 times I tried each flavor (3 flavors 12 attempts). I believe for the price, the manufacturer should offer an even smaller "Trial Size" package, that customers don't need to pay so much for, just to find out you threw your money away once again.
