This high-powered, unpasteurized Manuka honey is FANTASTIC! Just what I'd been looking for. The texture and taste are PERFECTION! I eat at least one to two teaspoons a day to keep my digestive system healthy, as well as to maintain my overall health. Since Manuka honey is excellent for healing wounds, rashes, etc., we keep a jar on hand for first aid, as well. So far I have purchased 3 jars and plan to continue buying more. The price is somewhat prohibitive...$52 (and that was with 20 percent off!), but I try to keep a steady supply because it's SO instrumental in maintaining good health, as well as for healing purposes. I would buy a case at a time if I could afford it. But I'm happy I found this particular brand because I've spent far more for high-powered Manuka honey that was ultimately inferior quality. I had a severely inflamed area on my skin, and within 6 hours I noticed and felt a reduction in the inflammation from using the 20 UMF Steen's honey. It's now 3 days later and the skin is almost entirely healed. This honey is incredible. I did my due diligence and even researched the New Zealand registry for registered UMF honeys to decide which one to purchase on Amazon instead of having it shipped from New Zealand This honey is the real deal with a batch number that you can verify through their website showing lab results for that particular batch and the date it was processed. I was always dubious about honey because it is a highly unregulated and adulterated market. Before this I tried the "First Honey" "sterilized manuka honey", and it did absolutely nothing. Don't waste your money on that!! The healing constituents are in the raw, unfiltered, and highly graded Manuka honeys from New Zealand, which can be traced directly to it's source. This honey has been a tremendous blessing for me, which I will continue to use probably for the rest of my life. My dogs have both had serious health problems. I wanted to find anything that I think might help them. After learning about Manuka honey, I decided to try this brand first. I haven't noticed any major changes in my dogs' health. However both of them love this. This is probably the best supplement that they have ever tried. I love the potential benefits for my dogs. I have been trying to figure out what their dosage should be. Neither of them has had any negative results from this. The only problem that I had with this is the fact that it was nowhere near full. It was around 3/4 full. I am not exaggerating. This is not a product that doesn't settle during shipment. The safety seal was also not stuck permanently to the top. I ordinarily would not use something that way for myself, but my dog has cancer and I wanted to get him healthier as soon as possible. I think that this is worth trying. One a recommendation I used this one a bad burn I had. Wow. After being amazed - I read into MGO and Manuka honey for healing burns and it was a rabbit hole of information. This stuff really is medicine. The stuff pharm companies all try and make with chemicals. Use this for everything. Cuts, bites, burns (mine were 2nd degree), then drop a dollop in your tea or coffee. Don’t put it in HOT HOT water. Wait till it cools. The research studies support not heating the honey too much. Not much on how that affects MGO levels but I’m sure it’s similar. Also-the crushed honey comb method is quite important-when you strain honey you remove the hive. The edible parts of the hive-minus beeswax- is essential for the therapeutic use of Manuka honey. So in conclusion-best honey ever. So good in fact I bought this for medicine and their lower level UMF/MGO for daily use. Tasting notes: earthy sweet textured with notes of menthol/eucalyptus upon exhale. ... show more
