These ratchets are awesome and innovative given that the articulating head has a design that partially locks with a spring ball detention. Extra long handle allow for better reach and torque. These reaches are awesome use them all the time, I really like this company tools also have they cobra set in the 3/8 and 1/4 Inch these are even a little bit longer and very strong ... show more

Used it a couple times and they work nice. Mechanism are crisp and feels real sturdy. But they are huge. Didn't think they'd be that big. The half inch is bigger than my breaker bar. The 3/8 is bigger than my standard half inch wrench. Even still I would recommend these. Extendable for more torque and flex heads for that price. You can't beat that.. ... show more

Fantastic set to have. I use the 1/4" the most as it fits into the tight spaces and can give you some good leverage also. The other 2 get there fair share of use too. Full time Professional mechanics should have this type of ratchets set, BUT in the long run they would be better off finding the best quality swivel head extending ratchet's set they can find, like Snap on... as these will likly be your most used tool in your tool box. Over the years they will be worth the extra $$$. But, for me a retired mechanic on a budget this set is great... very good for DIY mechanics. The extra leverage these can provide will likely get abused because the extra length multiples the force on the head exponentially. I found myself using the 1/2 fully extended to apply mega force were i probably should have been using a 3/4 breaker bar. But it held up fine, so... yeah best money spent on a tool for me in a very long time ... show more

I used these today to remove the caliper bolts on my car. I was able to break them loose with ease! I was a little nervous at first with reviews about head breaking. They seem like they will do great for the occasional use! Thanks!!

    • I wish you could lock the head angle actuation

Nice set. Seems sturdy. I have another ratchet (by a different company) that has a push button to lock the ratchet in various positions. These don't do that and it's sometimes hard to keep the socket on the bolt because of that. Hence -1 star for not having a actuation lock. Other than that these ratchets seem pretty decent ... show more
