  • Easy Release
Color: For Non-insulated Open Barrel Terminals
This crimping tool works very well and feels strong and well made. It crimps open barrel terminals cleanly and securely, with no loose connections. The ratchet action makes it easy to apply even pressure, and the quick-release feature is very helpful if you need to adjust. It fits the listed wire sizes accurately and is comfortable to hold during use. Great tool for electronics and wiring projects. Very satisfied with the quality and performance. ... show more

  • Great crimpers, and super strong!
Color: 6pcs Crimping Tool Set
I got the 6 piece set, that comes with 3 different sets of jaws that will allow you to crimp just about any type of connector. They also make really good solid, reliable and consistent connections. They work very well for most connectors, but could be better... They're also pretty good quality and I'd even say heavy duty. However they're pretty big and can be hard to use for heavy gauge wire connectors. I have pretty big hands, but the handles open wide enough that with some larger connectors it can be difficult to get my hands around them at all. The ratcheting mechanism also doesn't work as well as I had hoped, it really doesn't give you much if any mechanical advantage. It really only keeps the jaws from opening until the crimp is fully formed, which is still a good feature as it ensures uniform and thorough crimping for solid connections. But it would be nice if you could get a little mechanical advantage for heavier connectors because those can be really tough to crimp fully. As for value, I'd say they're somewhat spendy, but despite my complaints, I think they're well worth the price for what they can do. As always if I encounter any other issues or think of anything else to add I'll update this review! ... show more

  • Tight Crimp
Color: 6pcs Crimping Tool Set
I do a lot of the electrical work on my own cars. Paying a mechanic every time just is not in the budget, so I have learned to appreciate good connectors over the years. That said, a connector is only as good as the crimp. I have always used old school crimping pliers, but after seeing the different die options on this ratcheting crimper I decided to give it a shot. I have been really impressed so far. The ratcheting mechanism locks down and applies consistent pressure across the connector. It actually lets you apply a lot more force than standard pliers, sometimes almost too much if you are not careful. It even helped me out in a tight spot where I had to crimp a larger connector onto a slightly smaller gauge wire. Not ideal, but it compressed everything securely and the connection has been holding strong with no signs of arcing or heat issues. I still grab my old crimpers for quick, simple jobs, but when I want a solid, reliable crimp that I can trust long term, I reach for these. ... show more

  • Right tool for the job
Color: 6pcs Crimping Tool Set
This crimper set is just what I needed to cover the variety of connectors I find myself having to use. While changing out the dies takes a screwdriver and some time, I like the versatility of having one tool to use for most of my use cases. The ratcheting feature of this crimp tool makes it easier to crimp connectors without having them fall out on me. The tool provides plenty of leverage to insure a good crimp. You do need to be sure you have the correct die in place for the type of connector you are using which can take some research. I do wish that this kit came with a storage box or pouch to keep everything together. Overall though, I think this crimper set provides a decent value. ... show more

  • If you only need a plain crimper for bullet or spade connections, might work, everything else sucks
Color: 6pcs Crimping Tool Set
If I could give this zero stars I would. This is hot garbage. I was able to make it work for a couple of Molex connectors (like, the big PCIe ones), and 4 JST connectors, but it was an insane struggle and amount of work. Tinkering, pre-crimping, re-crimping, just...a horrible experience. Today, 3 days after the return window closed, I tried again hoping I was just having a bad day. Nope, it took me almost 2 hours to successfully crimp 4x 20 gauge JST connectors, and the 4th one cost me 5, that's five...you read that right FIVE ends. I got it taken care of but at least for the JST/Molex I will never use this crimper again. It may in fact work okay for some of the other more standard crimping that don't need literally any level of precision, but the JST and Molex precision literally could not be any worse. ... show more

  • Not a crimping job these jaws can't do!
Color: 6pcs Crimping Tool Set
This is a great example of a company adding real value to a Crimping tool with some ingenuity. I use this type of tool fairly regular at my job and find it to make clamping open barrel wiring easy and fast. Simply place the end in the correct sized slot, clamp down fully and the handle will assist in opening. This makes all types of crimping easy on your hand when you have to do dozens in a row sometimes. But one issue /i always did run into periodically is not having the jaws that were specific to the wiring job at hand. I would just make do with what I had and it would make the job more difficult. That is where this Crimping set really shines! It comes with 5 different jaws that are specific to the different wiring sizes and tasks that require crimping. Each jaw set can be removed and replaced with the appropriate one needed by removing two Phillips head screws that are on the top and bottom. Very simple and can be done in less then a minute. So if you do different type of crimping this is absolutely the tool to get! The tool itself is very durable with the tool being metal with two rubber grips that are fitted over the handles for comfort. So for a similar tool without the extra jaws you usually pay anywhere from over $20 and higher. I think if you are just the occasional user you may not need all the different jaw sets and may wanna get the regular steelite crimper without the added jaws. But if you do different crimping even sporadically, I think the price is fair to have so many different crimping jobs covered. Highly recommended! ... show more
