If I could give this zero stars I would. This is hot garbage. I was able to make it work for a couple of Molex connectors (like, the big PCIe ones), and 4 JST connectors, but it was an insane struggle and amount of work. Tinkering, pre-crimping, re-crimping, just...a horrible experience. Today, 3 days after the return window closed, I tried again hoping I was just having a bad day. Nope, it took me almost 2 hours to successfully crimp 4x 20 gauge JST connectors, and the 4th one cost me 5, that's five...you read that right FIVE ends. I got it taken care of but at least for the JST/Molex I will never use this crimper again. It may in fact work okay for some of the other more standard crimping that don't need literally any level of precision, but the JST and Molex precision literally could not be any worse.

I've previously purchased a similar crimper with swappable heads. That crimper did not open reliably after making a crimp so it was returned however, this crimper reopens very well. It appears to be well built and decently finished. Crimping terminals on light gauge wires is often better served using a dedicated tool, I do not recommend using this crimper for Dupont or JST crimps. This Steelite crimper does work well with heavier gauge crimp terminals. Having multiple crimp heads on one tool is versatile, having to remove and reinstall screws to change crimp heads is somewhat more difficult than similarly priced quick change crimpers. Overall, a decent value but I would recommend getting dedicated crimpers for specific jobs or a quick change version of this crimper. Tips for use: - you may need to grip the ends of the handles to get the most mechanical advantage when finishing certain crimps - for best alignment, install the crimp head loosely then crimp and hold the heads together while you finish crimping Docking one star because my E crimp heads were not properly labeled. The should say "E" on both pieces but instead they say "A" and "B", flip them over and they magically become "B" and "A".
