The folks who make Mini Coopers decided on a design that doesn't have the typical wheel bolts sticking out. Instead, the wheels are held on with bolts that go into the assembly. (Of course, if you own a mini, and are looking at this item, you already know that!) This makes the process of removing a wheel, and putting it back on, much easier. Soon as you have one or two of the bolts out, thread one or two of these in where the bolts have been. That way, when you have all the bolts out, the wheel won't just fall off. You can get the bolts and the tools out of your hands and put them someplace safe, before you pull the wheel off its mount. This is a quite simple solution to save you tons of frustration, and keep you from inventing some new and very unpleasant words. :-) The benefit of these is probably even greater when putting the wheels back on. Having a couple of these made life *way* easier for us, when we did a full four-wheel brake job on my wife's Mini.

The media could not be loaded. Chose stance magic due to the amount of reviews and good price. Work as a mechanic and come across various European vehicles. Also other vehicles that use the lugbolt design, such a couple Mazdas and Jeeps. So I figured these would help rather than keep the vehicle low to the ground while on a lift. Bought a set of each size available to test out. Still waiting on another, 14x1.5. I picked and received a pack of 2 for both the 12x1.5 & 14x1.25. The 12x1.5 came in white packaging with a white sticker label. The 14x1.25 came in yellow packaging with the Stance Magic brand on it. Mind you, I have not opened either item yet, as I can see through the clear side of the packaging. Quality is different from each other. Verified with a magnet, the white packaging, 12x1.5 was solid metal. Quite heavier than the 14x1.25. The yellow packaging, 14x1.25 appears to be aluminum. Very light. Being a mechanic, I will see how they turn out. But honestly, I'd rather have the same solid, sturdy quality of the 12x1.5 rather than aluminum. Mainly because of long term use. Paranoid that the aluminum set may eventually snap while in use due to various weight and size of rims in combination with possibly heavier tires. As some have noted, the knurled edge looks nice for gripping but definite possibility of scratching the barrel area for the lug bolts when removing or placing the wheel. Bought the set of 2 only because it'll make it more easier to hold the wheel in place and the weight of the wheel will be spread acrossed both rather than on a single one. Despite the hub possibly helping hold some weight of the wheel and helping align, especially with aluminum, I'd rather use 2 per wheel. Tip for those who may have hard time when doing things on your own for lug bolts and use of this tool. As stated in description of how to use. Remove one lug bolt. Place alignment tool in place of the removed lug bolt. Continue removing other lug bolts. For easier removal of lug bolts as they can sometimes stay within the barrel holes, use a magnet or socket tipped downwards towards you to remove. Hanger should hold. Carefully remove wheel as to not scratch from the knurled edge of hanger. For installation, there is no need to remove hanger that was initially installed. If anything, having a second installed can help. Carefully install wheel. Again Carefully, as to not scratch from the knurled edge of the hanger/s. For easier installation of lug bolts, place in socket and use socket to turn and hang tighten lug bolts. Remove hangers for installation of remaining lug bolts. For safety, use torque wrench for proper tightness to proper torque specs. No judgement for those that go with the ugga duggas, but torque to specs preferred. Will update with pictures/video eventually along with post review from use.

I have an Audi 2021 Q3 which has a 5 bolt mount system for the wheels. That being the case, removal of the last bolt releases the wheel. As such, Audi provides a plastic wheel hang pin with the included tire change tools. While the pin helps quite a bit, it is only ideal if the bolt nearest the top is dead center. If it is off by a little, the wheel is not that easy to put back in place. That's where a second wheel hang pin comes in handy. With two in place, you can easily slide wheel back in place and put thread the bolts back easily. While looking for a second 14 by 1.5 wheel hang pin, I came across this STANCEMAGIC metal one. It is the ideal length and has a knurled top making it easy to manually thread on and off. As I have used STANCEMAGIC wheel bolts in the past and found them to be high quality, I got this hanger pin. I recently had to do some cosmetic, aesthetic work with each wheel. This extra pin works great with the OEM one making removal and replacement of the wheels that much easier.

I had a pair of wheel alignment pins for my VW several years ago; one was lost and the other seems to escape my grasp from time to time. I only need one pin, as I usually only work on one wheel at a time, and you only need one pin per wheel. But I decided to get these as a backup. I chose these specifically because they are shorter. I have sometimes worried that the weight of the wheel hung on the pin may cause the pin to bend, and possibly snap. I’m hoping the shorter pin will help alleviate this. I noticed when I took these out that they were much lighter than I’d expected (even with their shorter length). I checked with a magnet and sure enough, these are made of aluminum. Not sure how I feel about this. Again it may be less durable than steel, but hopefully the shorter length counters this.
