I can’t attest to its longevity yet, but I’ve had the blanket for about 3 weeks now and I’m very satisfied with the purchase. It heats up very quickly and I can say pretty uniformly wherever the coils are located. I can also say this gets HOT. Even with my room on the colder side I can only use it up to 6-7 (half way) because I will actually start sweating with a higher setting. I like the time setting so I don’t have to remember to turn it off. I wish it started at 1 hour rather than 3 so I didn’t have to cycle all the way through, but only a small recommendation. The blanket is super soft on both sides. Sherpa on the one and shag on the other as described. You can see the sewing lines on the shag side, but they disappear as the blanket fluffs up with use. If it’s a cosmetic concern for anyone you can flip that side down and the Sherpa side is uniform. I also like that I don’t really notice the coils when I’m under or on it. My older fleece model was very stiff despite 2 years of use and you could always feel the coils given their size so laying on top of it wasn’t super comfortable. I don’t really find that’s an issue here. My dogs and husband also give their stamp of approval. Every time it’s on my dogs end up snuggling somewhere on it. Although the larger size is big enough to share, my husband has tried to steal it on multiple occasions and started calling it his “precious” so I bought a second one for him for Valentine’s Day so he could have his own. I think the cost is reasonable / competitive when compared to other blankets this size from other manufacturers. I purchased the larger size both times because it ends up the same or less expensive than the smaller one with the discount. Overall I highly recommend this product.

I’m not sure why there are reviews for a heated blanket in the reviews for this product, but my review is for the Sted Pet Heating Pad, 28"x16" Electric Heating Pad. I, and our cats, are very pleased with this product. It fits perfectly in their Joyelf Medium Dog Bed that I purchased here on Amazon. The heating elements are very well protected as is the electrical cord. The convenience of both multiple heat settings and multiple timer settings is very convenient. The control pad is easy to use and clearly marked. In my opinion, an excellent investment.

I’m a huge lover of electric blankets including this one I have three! 😀 The blanket is sooo soft and fluffy and that adds to the warmth. The highest setting it goes to is ten and it turns off automatically after awhile BUT what I absolutely love is that even after it has turned off it’s still warm I’ve fallen asleep with it on several times before during naps and normal sleeping and I wake up still comfortably toasty. It’s also 100% washable just make sure you obviously remove the cords and it’ll be good to go for washing. So what are you waiting for? ORDER NOW!!!!!!

Good looking product, not as "pillowy" as I had expected, it really is more like a conventional heating pad where you can easily feel the heat coils inside it, but it is a nice finish and attractive. The temperature settings seem to be working well and as expected within its setting ranges. I am disappointed that the description on the product page mentions "waterproof" and "outdoor" use, but upon reading the instructions they specifically say "not for outdoor use". I bought it for outdoor (semi-sheltered in a cat house) purposes and will still attempt to use it that way. It is most likely only going to get damp from time to time but no parts of it will be in standing water. If you use it outside do everything possible to avoid parts of the mat and/or cord sitting on the ground (risk of getting fully soaked).

They are working well. I gave them to the neighbors. One neighbor has several dogs in his house. His older medium-sized dog doesn't shiver anymore. The dog likes it so much he is resistant to sharing it with the other dogs. That neighbor is buying another one. The other neighbor has a cat. The pad is big enough that a neighborhood cat has joined their cat in a big box with an extra cover over it. The animals are all being taken better care of.

I was happy to find this heating pad for our kitty babies. We put it in their house outdoor, because they are outdoor some of the time. We have two kitties that love to use it when it gets really cold. I feel better knowing that they have heat. The pad is made really well. The cover is soft and washable. It has controls for the amount of time to keep it on and the temp it needs to be from low to high and in between. I am well pleased with my purchase and so are our kitty babies.

Not loving this heating pad. Doesn’t heat up within 5-6 inches of the edge and doesn’t stay warm. It’s on heat level 4 and the pad isn’t even barely warm when I feel it.
