This thing fits really well, is very light and enables low light operation with the Neo. So far I've only tested this in my darkened house, but it flies without issue when in the past it basically goes haywire in low light and crashes. The light is very bright and easy to operate. It's a well thought out design that gives a nice stable base for landing and also protects the battery. Its easy to get on and off but it does need to be removed to take off the battery. Its as easy to remove as the battery. It's very light, but its will still have an impact on flight time, how much is unknown but probably a minute or two. I saw no other difference in flight characteristics. It's got decent longevity, not sure how long it can illuminate on a charge, but I went through three batteries with it on so at least 30 minutes.

Overview: I recently purchased the DJI Neo so I've been looking for various accessories for it and came across this LED light that I thought would come in handy when flying in low light settings. Negative(s): -Lighting colors/effects -Charging port Do any of the negative(s) affect my overall rating and/or recommendation? No. This LED light only has one setting. It doesn't have any other colors or effects, but it doesn't affect its intended use, which is to provide some light while flying. Just would be nice if it had other lighting options. The light attaches on easily and securely. It also has a hole to keep the Neo's charging port open. The one negative that could become an issue is that the light's charging port is located at the bottom, which could easily get dirt in it. So far, no issues, but something to consider for future models. The light is lightweight so the Neo flies just fine with it on. It also protects the battery with it on and lifts the Neo from the ground a few cm's. The light is bright, but don't expect it to brighten your night shots. I wouldn't necessarily fly the Neo in the dark as the camera isn't the best for low light settings, but this will add a little more light. Overall, a useful DJI Neo accessory and I would highly recommend this product.

This battery protector came broken in the unopened box. It looked like the box somehow got squashed and the back clip split. I requested a replacement and it was sent out quickly. This is my second StartRC order I have one for my Neo and getting one for my husband. He was flying his Neo and the wind took it and blew it away and it fell. He was able to find it but the battery had separated and split open from the fall. I like the fact that this battery protecter does protect the battery and I have had crashes and it fell and procure for was in tact and on the drone. It fits perfectly and clip in. The light is so bright and you can fly at night with no issues. The Neo has to be flown in bright well lit area and this light just gets that done. The protector seems well made and can withstand a few drops. I have had mines for over a year not with no issues so it will last.

This works well, battery life is surprisingly good. I do a lot of indoor flying where the lighting is low and variable. I get fewer, “low light conditions,” warnings while using this. Flight characteristics impacts are negligible as well as flight duration. Good value, easy installation and removal simple and secure.
