Description

The story of Cal Kestis continues in Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, a third person galaxy-spanning action-adventure game from Respawn Entertainment, developed in collaboration with Lucasfilm Games. This narratively-driven, single player title picks up five years after the events of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and follows Cal’s increasingly desperate fight as the galaxy descends further into darkness. Pushed to the edges of the galaxy by the Empire, Cal will find himself surrounded by threats new and familiar. As one of the last surviving Jedi Knights, Cal is driven to make a stand during the galaxy’s darkest times - but how far is he willing to go to protect himself, his crew, and the legacy of the Jedi Order? To survive, players will build upon Cal’s training with an expanded list of iconic Force abilities, combat stances, and lightsaber customizations that can be combined in new and different ways to fight as a Jedi. While the Force is a powerful ally, it may not be enough. Cal will have to get creative and master new abilities, tactics and even leverage the environment around him to overcome the obstacles ahead.

  • Beautiful sequel to a Great game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
Jedi: Survivor is a beautifully gorgeous game, stunning graphics, great gameplay, and a much improved storyline. It is choppy and crashed on me about 7 times during gameplay (PS5) but I'm sure it that will get better as time goes on. The first game boasted a large open world experience but I felt it was more a "rat race" maze versus truly open world. The developers didn't make that mistake this time around two massive open world planets with 3 smaller more spider webbed walkthrough but still on a large scale. Great addition to this game series and can't wait for the next game. ... show more

  • Love this Game!!!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
I’ve loved the Cal Kestis series for a long time now and was thrilled to get my copy. I know it’s had trouble on PC, but on console this thing runs like a dream. Beautiful graphics, fun and interesting gameplay, and the switch to open world mixed with linear “dungeons” was a fantastic change.

  • 5 star for the game, the deluxe add-ons are what they are
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
Completely destroyed this game in no time, loved every second of it. It built off of what fallen order started, and it felt fresh throughout the entire campaign. This is one of the few games that I’ve finished but I’m still playing because I can’t get enough. As for the deluxe dlc, it is why it is. You get a few cosmetic items that I ended up not using because the game just has so many great cosmetic items that I’ve unlocked. I just like to have everything unlocked so I would go nuts if I didn’t grab the upgrade. ... show more

  • More Approachable than Jedi Fallen Order
Platform For Display: PlayStation 5 Edition: Deluxe
Deluxe Edition includes cosmetic items not obtainable in-game (no stat boost): Scoundrel skin Rebel Hero skin BD Astro BD-1 skin Rugged BD-1 skin DL-44 Blaster Rebel Hero lightsaber Seeing how the first title (Fallen Order) was more of a Demon Souls type game; this one has lenient difficulty settings. If you do want a Souls type experience you can choose the higher difficulty setting. Way more platforming and parkour this time around. Feels like playing Uncharted 4 at times Semi-open world, but core game is linear. Think God of War Ragnorok as oppose to GTA There are side content like collecting items for upgrades, Rumors (side missions) and bounties -Story/plot: Set after the last game. Doing some missions against the empire, to make sure they don’t know the whereabouts of the remaining Jedi. Come across a Jedi in cryo sleep for 100 years in bacta tank. Turns out he’s turned to the darkside and you must stop him. Story is more a personal, self-discovery one compared to the last game There are 5 battle stances to choose from: regular single bladed lightsaber, Duel wield, Double Bladed, blaster + lightsaber, and cross guard (high attack, slow moving). Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Can swap between two at a time, and switch them up if you want at a save points. Game doesn’t have autosave system, so must commit at least 15-20min of gameplay to reach next checkpoint Battle system is okay. Light, weak attacks (based on stance), force powers (on cooldown), parry move (Press R1 exact time enemy melee attack you), deflect blasters, dodge roll, block, and slow down time (ultimate move that builds meter when defeating enemies). Can be overwhelming at first with tons of options, but get used to it a few hours in. Personally don’t like how you can’t cancel attacks (especially in cross-guard stance) as you must wait for animation to finish before you can parry, deflect, etc. Not as fluid as God of War Ragnorok battle system for example. Various upgrade trees to cater to your own playstyle. Can re-spec once for free, other times must use 1 point (a point earned by each level gained) to re-spec There are perks to collect for passive buffs As mentioned before, way more parkour in this game, along with tons more platforming puzzles. Some areas are unreachable until you get an upgrade making it have a metriod-vania type feel. There is a learning curve to figure out what is climbable and judge distance of jumps. Puzzles are not that intuitive, at times it took me a while to figure out where to go as environmental queues are not that good. Most frustrating thing about the game in my opinion. Load times are fast on PS5. Gameover screen/respawn is instant. Fast travel takes around 5 seconds to load you into area Overall had a fun time revisiting the universe. There is a learning curve if you want to master everything. Tons of environmental, platform puzzles compared to the first game. ... show more

Jedi: Survivor is such a fun Star Wars game and really shines on PS5. If you’re a fan of the franchise I highly recommend giving it a try. The story, action, graphics, music and more are all really top-notch.
