I ended up ordering this just hours before the news broke that James Earl Jones, the voice of Darth Vader, had sadly passed. Rest in peace. My kids like the mask and immediately wanted to take turns wearing it. They're somewhat familiar with the Vader character, but they haven't watched Star Wars yet, so they really only know that he's a "bad guy." Pushing the little square button on the side (which was initially hard to find) causes the mask to say one of several iconic lines from the movies. I wish I had one of these when I was a kid, but it's also very fun and rewarding to watch my own kids play with it while I share the stories of my childhood with a whole new generation. ... show more

I got this for my 7 year old son, and to be honest I think my husband is enjoying it just as much as him if not more so. The mask fits my son decently and the sounds are cool and at a good volume. It appears to be very well made from durable plastic, so I have hopes that it will hold up well.

My kids love this mask and role play with it often. The sounds are limited and it repeats the same phrases over and over. It has breathing and I thought the sound effects would be different. Doesn't really go larger than a 6 year olds head. My son has a hard time with the elastics.

I received this the day after the death of James Earl Jones, so it was quite bittersweet. I am an adult and it fits me fine. It comes with batteries already installed and it is well made. Press the button and by my count it will say, randomly, five statements plus the famous breathing sound. It does not alter your voice. Any Star Trek fan will love this. ... show more

The mask came ready to use right out the packaging. There isn't any assembly required. It was nice pushing the button to hear Darth Vader's voice. I got it for my 4 year old but my 18 months couldn't put this mask down. He loved it just as much as much 4 year old. We go the light sabers to match nicely with this mask.
