The quality of this is great, just as you would expect from Stanley. The materials are good and it is well made. I like that the handle has a metal hinge (stronger, and longer lasting than plastic), but where you hold it as plastic so it’s comfortable. I love the slanted top with a large opening. It makes it easier to drink from. It says it’s for hot and cold drinks but the instructions suggest you don’t use it for hot drinks. It also says is dishwasher safe but the instructions recommend that you hand wash it. Please look at my last picture for these instructions and recommendations. Because of the size of the lid, it will be easy to hand wash.I like the color. It’s not bold so it’s not attention getting. I like that about it. I also like the size. It’s not too big and it’s not too small and it fits in my cupholder in the car. I filled it approximately half full with ice and after 12 hours there was still ice in it. I would expect that with regular ice cubes or if I had filled it with ice, but I only filled it halfway and used bullet ice, which has a lot of air and melts a lot faster. I’m impressed with how well it keeps my drink cold. I’m very happy with this bottle and would recommend it to friends. I have a number of water bottles, but I have never owned a Stanley tumbler. I have seen the numerous products that go with the Stanley brand name, so I decided to give it a try. It is very well made; the exterior is smooth and insulated with some type of plastic that is easy to hold. Even though it is made of stainless steel, it is not slippery. The handle is really great and makes it easy to carry. It is easy to drink and pour from due to the angled spout. I filled it up with cold water in the morning, took it to my exercise class, had it with me all through the rest of the day, and by bedtime, the remaining water had stayed cold the entire day. I was impressed and could better understand the higher price tag. One thing I noticed was its weight compared to other water bottles. Mind you, this is not scientific; it is measured on my kitchen scale. Empty, it weighed 1 lb. 4 oz, and filled with water, 3 lb. 8 oz, so I did notice it was heavier than what I was used to. However, for me, the handle is really great and makes it easy to carry.

STANLEY has released another impressive water bottle! My wife is a big fan of their mugs with straws, but this bottle truly stands out as a water bottle and it's my favorite one to carry now. It's easy to use, comfortable to carry, and pours liquids quickly while keeping beverages cold and refreshing. At first the handle took a bit of getting used too, but now, I freaking love it. It's sturdy and provides an easy way to hold it! What matters most to me is how great it feels to handle and drink from. The water flows out quickly enough to quench your thirst, yet the opening isn't excessively wide, so you won't spill it all over yourself. I added a photo of the water bottle at a work station with my mouse next to it to give you context. I'm super impressed with the size, color and design. It really is a great water bottle. The quality, design, and attention to detail in these STANLEY bottles are exceptional. I’m extremely impressed and would recommend this product to anyone!

With this being my first Stanley bottle, I now somewhat get the hype. The build quality, seal, and handle are absolutely top notch. Little things like grip indentation, double seal on lid top (plus replacement options for spout type), and twice reinforced handle are all things by default peer manufacturers simply do not provide. Ditto logical shaping to sit STILL in a cup holder due to gradiated bottom. I've bought countless Contigo water bottles at different price points, and none are remotely in line with the quality of this near-entry level Stanley. If there's something to note, these are not light...to ensure no denting and that they can take a beating. I wouldn't necessarily consider this something you just carry around based on weight or in a purse/light bag if you're not ready for the bulk. Personally, I like bottles with some oomph to them, so this a winner for me. Related, these cannot hold hot liquids...so keep expectations realistic. Also, dishwasher safe claims are with an asterisk. Stanely warns it can erode the finish and more. Last, the ash color I received is unique and something other manufacturers seemingly do not have.

There are a couple advantages that this water bottle has over the popular Stanley model. First, this one doesn't leak, while the popular one does. As in, you put one of these in a kid's backpack, and the rest of their things won't get wet. But put a regular Stanley in there, and it'll be dripping before you know. Second, this one, because the top seals all the way, keeps the contents colder. And for longer. So this one is great if you're going to the gym. It's also great for kids in their backpacks. (Not little, little kids... since it's kind of a big water bottle... and you'll need a little muscle to get the top closed.) But for my 9- and 10-year-old granddaughters, this one would be great. Also great for adults on the go. Well made, sturdy water bottle. It should hold up for years. Looks good too. Overall, I like it a lot and would recommend without reservation.
