Stanley thermos bottles were the gold standards for a long time, but had gone down in quality many years ago. Things picked up when Nissan started manufacturing them, but the ones I got after Nissan got out were nowhere near as good. Now they are as good or better than ever! We've used Stanley's for decades, and we couldn't be more pleased with this new one! It held hot coffee hot overnight into the next day, losing only 3 ° of temperature after 14 hours. This is a wonderful flask. It is HUGE but it does keep liquids hot for a long time. I use it for keeping hot water so I can make my coffee throughout the day instead of boiling water each time. I’ve even gone on to use the water for my coffee the following morning and I’m satisfied with the heat. My husband though usually finds that it’s not hot enough for him, but then he likes his drinks scalding hot. I’ll totally recommend it ... show more

Hard to go wrong with this workhorse. I used my original on a daily basis working in tree work in the 90s getting banged around on the jobsite and in the truck. The only reason I replaced it is the original got lost in a move. Now it keep my coffee hot while I watch my son from the sidelines in Fall and Winter.
