Snap closures worthy of Old American industry! Good weight to build muscle. However, no real insulation. This holds your stuff not necessarily keep it warm or cold. Build quality is what you’d expect from Stanley: sturdy metal construction that feels like it can take some use without falling apart. It’s not flashy, but it’s dependable. Inside, there’s plenty of room for the essentials. It holds my lunch, drinks, and even a pipe pouch without feeling cramped. I had been looking at this lunch box for a while but kept putting it off because of the price. Ended up getting it as an early birthday gift to myself and I’m glad I did. First thing you notice is how solid it feels. It’s all metal and definitely built to last. The latches are strong and snap shut securely, and the handle feels sturdy when carrying it around. It has that old-school, classic look but doesn’t feel cheap at all. Size-wise, it’s bigger than I expected in a good way. Plenty of room for containers, drinks, and snacks without feeling cramped. I paired it with a Stanley thermos and they fit well together. Only thing to keep in mind is it’s not insulated, so it won’t keep food hot or cold on its own—you’ll want an ice pack or thermos for that. Overall, it feels like one of those things you buy once and keep for years. No regrets.

This is not terribly big but it holds quite a bit. It is perfect for hauling snacks and sandwiches to sports events for my younger kids while we watch the older kids. It is incredibly sturdy and nothing gets ruined and wasted. We have tried a million different cooler/backpack/lunchbox options, and I think we have landed on our winner. With lots of kids and lots of coming and going, stuff gets shoved and dropped and stuffed and stepped on. This lunchbox protects all the foods and therefore also the stroller, car, other bags, etc. Obviously a little more expensive but quality is to match and will save me more than its price in wasted food....this season alone! (Besides all the clean up time saved wiping smashed uncrustables off of everything.)

The good: This is a very durable lunch pail. It feels robust and can take lots of abuse. I wouldn't be nervous to just toss it in the back of my pickup and forget it. The latches seem heavy duty and I love the old school vibe it puts off. The Bad: not the best summer lunch pail. It is not insulated. In fact it gets hot as hell sitting by the window in the truck. I tried putting a Yeti ice pack in it and it went hot in a couple hours. This is the nature of it, so not too big a deterrent. However, i think i will limit this to winter use. The ugly: It is unfortunate that this isn't air tight...... There are large gaps on the backside that are prone to let dust in. I would rather not have dirt and dust in my food. All in all it is a solid lunch pail. I really enjoy the old-school vibes.

After using it for almost two months, I've been pleased with it. I'm a midnight shift law enforcement officer and since COVID, we only have 4 options to eat at overnight. This has allowed me to bring from home better/healthier choices and at a substantial $ savings. I carry a utensil kit , seasoning kit , and a couple of meal options everynight. I have the good fortune that my office has a break room with a microwave and toaster oven to warm food up. It's held up well as I place it in the passenger floorboard of my patrol car till dinner time. I bought the 24oz food jar (thermos) so I can take left overs from dinner, like potatoe soup, with me. Otherwise some easy microwave dinners or other leftovers fit nicely in the box. I carry a utensil pouch with spoon, fork, knife, steak knife, salt and pepper, and additional spices for the dinner of the evening. It's really done what I expected it to. My 70+ year old mother chuckled when she saw it as she said it's what her father carried to work everyday. Is it perfect for my everyday personal lunch situation? It fits me with the lunchbox, the insulated food jar and the 40oz stanley coffee/ tea/hot chocolate thermos. So no matter the weather or call volume, ill have something with me to keep me going till the end of shift.

I have always wanted one of these lunch boxes. It is perfect. Durable for sure. I love it. Coupled with the thermos and the soup container, it covers all my needs. Hot beverages last all day in winter, and summer i put smoothies in an it stays cold all day. Simply it is awesome
