I waffled on whether to give these four or five stars. For the price point, these are overall good cues, though, as another reviewer noted, bar-quality. But, again, at this price point is the caveat for any quality issues. It says the wood is ramin, which is native to SE Asia and is just a little softer than hard maple, though the wood is considered endangered from over harvesting in the past, and the dark parts are just paint. Between the two cues I received there are two halves that are straight, and two halves that, while not perfectly straight, only bow about 1/16 of an inch at most, and most of us would probably not notice. Certainly my grandkids don't. The two halves join together solidly, and weigh in just over 21 ounces or 600 grams, though at 57½ inches they were a full inch shorter than other cues I compared them to. While the product heading says the tips are 10.5mm, I can confirm that they are the 13mm listed in the description. If I end up giving it 4 stars it's because the tips are NOT ready for play and require shaping, something most people probably don't have the specific tools to accomplish. I can understand where higher-end cues might be able to explain this away as people buying those cues are probably a little more finicky about the tip diameter in their game (nickel, dime, quarter, 9.0, etc.), and would probably purchase better tips separately, anyways. But just as the person using the house cue at a bar, those looking at these cues most likely aren't concerned about tip diameter or whether its hard or soft (it seems pretty hard, though that may have been some coating), but just want to chalk these up and be able to play once these arrive, and you can't, or, at least, you shouldn't. And that will certainly be a drawback for many that they'll need to purchase a shaping tool, or they just won't understand why they miscue so often with these cues. So, for the price, these are good, so long as you know that the tips are not ready for chalk and will need to be shaped with a shaping tool.

Great cues for the money---not sure what kind of wood they are made out of but they are durable--with a little tweaking you can run some balls out.

Sneaky Pete's are cues that look like bar cues and thats exactly what these are. The weight is good and good builds, especially for buying on Amazon. We buy sneaky Pete's from different billiard places and this is no different from those.

This cue stick is well made and durable so it can withstand the wear and tear of playing pool. It is a good weight and it is well balanced. The wood is well treated and it looks nice. It feels comfortable in my hand and I have enjoyed using it. The price is reasonable and I think it is a good addition for a pool player !
