This is a bit of a monster - it definitely takes up some counter space but it's really a great appliance to keep chilled food safely in the temperature range it needs to be in and keeps it protected from bugs, dust, etc. It comes with ice packs that fit perfectly beneath each of the steel drop in pans. There's a support bar that goes across to help the pans stay put that is pretty sharp on the bottom edge so be careful of that. Once the unit is assembled, it's not a concern as the pans go over it. The way this is made, you could easily pack ice in the lower tub and set the pans on that or even trade out the pans for ones that are smaller or more shallow. These pans hold a lot of food! This is great for family reunions, work functions, holiday/birthday parties, BBQs, etc. Anything where you're going to feed a bunch of folks. It would also be a good way to keep fruit and chilled snacks available for kids to serve themselves at home, in a classroom, or daycare setting. Since this is steel, it's pretty durable. The clear plastic cover is thick and can take a few knocks before you'd ever notice it was scuffed. It has magnets to hold it in place and the movement to open the one side to access the food inside is smooth and doesn't make the whole cover come off. It comes with serving utensils too - big spoons and tongs. It's a great appliance and will definitely be used for our holiday open houses (just got to find a place to store it in between uses!)

I received this cold-food serving station for review, and my feelings are mixed. On one hand, it’s incredibly roomy. The footprint is much larger than I expected, which is great when you’re feeding a crowd, but not so great when you’re trying to figure out where to stash it afterward. This thing demands real storage space. The cooling setup works well, and having multiple pans makes it easy to offer several chilled dishes at once. The clear lid is convenient for quick access, and the whole setup is straightforward to use. For parties, potlucks, and backyard gatherings, it absolutely does what it promises. That said, the build quality is uneven. Some of the metal parts — especially the divider bar and a few edges on the pans — are surprisingly sharp. You have to be careful handling them, which isn’t ideal when you’re trying to set up quickly. The lid feels serviceable but not particularly sturdy, and the accessories range from decent to dollar-store level. The included ice packs work but feel a little flimsy, and since there are no instructions in the box, you’re left guessing about how much water to add or how best to maintain them. Not a dealbreaker, but definitely an avoidable frustration. Overall, it’s a useful piece for keeping cold foods safe and organized, and the generous size is a real advantage for entertaining. But the combination of sharp edges, so-so materials, and bulky storage needs keeps it from being an easy five-star product.

Was a bit torn on how to rate this. I’m beyond excited to have something that matches my hot chafing dishes to serve cold food in. I always ended up with mismatched bowls of salads out on the table and worried about them getting warm. This set allows you to have 4 different foods in a dish that has ice below to keep cool. It comes with ice packs, tongs and spoons as accessories. No directions but I feel it’s easy enough to put together. It also has a roll top cover which is a great addition. Now to the part that has me a little bummed. The quality of the materials. These seem to me like basic cafeteria style pans. The kind that get bent and dinged with use. My chafing dishes pans are a much stronger material. And though I love the lid, it has too much play in it and I am not expecting it to last a long time. For the cost of this set, I was expecting a little more in the quality area. I feel transporting this around will eventually cause damage. Don’t get me wrong, I am using this thing every chance I get when BBQ season starts, (Too hot right now) but next time I’ll try something else.
