Some of the best handwritten notes (and best handwriting) you will ever see is done by a girl who blogs on tumblr as 'nubnublovesbunnies'. She listed these pens as one of her favorites, so I had to get them. I do a lot of diagramming and note taking and these have been perfect. They write and feel great. I bought these for underlining passages in my bible. The red pen I had previously been using bled through the pages like crazy and it took literally a minute to dry, which resulted in ugly smudges everywhere. I was a bit skeptical about these pens. The reviews said they worked well for standard paper, but I didn't see too much about working on thinner bible pages. I was super pleased to find out they write smoothly. All the colors are bold and bright. Yellow is really hard to see because of how bright it is, but I don't use yellow much anyway. Red isn't a very bold red, but more of a reddish orange, but that doesn't really bother me. These pens work magically on thin bible pages. There is a very faint shadow through the back of the page, but it's nothing compared to most pens I've used. The ink also dries almost instantly. As a matter of fact, I wrote with one and immediately wiped it, and there was no smudging at all. The case is very convenient, and opens up to make a stand for the pens so you stay organized. I included some pictures showing underlining with the fineliner pens in purple and green. The red pen is from a different brand pen I had been using before. You can see that the Staedtler pens write smoothly and boldly, didn't smudge, and can barely be seen through the page, compared to the red pen. I highly recommend these pens!

These are gorgeous pens! All of the felt tips were functional - not dried out and not too rough on the pages. I use these mostly in my Leuchtturm1917 journal. There is some bleed through on thin papers, such as the sheets in that particular journal. The pens are shaped with three angles; as someone with joint problems, I've found this extremely helpful in minimizing pain when I write. This function also helps the pens click back into the container. The container's lid has a pop-back function that lets you stand the entire case upright, for easy organization while you write. They are made very well, though I did noticed my most-used colors' felt tips were smushed a little after prolonged use (I'm talking a few months of heavy use). Overall, these are quality pens in brilliant colors, and I would buy more from Staedtler. If you found this review helpful please click the button :)

This is the ultimate pack of pens for writing, drawing, underlining or highlighting. This pack contains 20 Staedtler .3mm metal clad porous-point pens. They come in 20 assorted colors including violet, browns, reds and pink and orange & yellow. Staedtler also makes a 10--Pack which does not include violet, and only straight brown. This 20-Pack cost $23.00 delivered, which comes to about $1.12 a pen. The point is durable and writes without skipping on all papers. The point measures about .3mm You can write on the thinnest paper with minimal bleed thru. for example I use them to underline words in the Bible and although you can notice some slight bleed, it is the least of all pens of this type. The ink is NOT permanent, but drys very quickly, so it is great for lefties. The pens come in a very nice container that converts to an angled-holder with easy access to each individual pen. The ink is supposed to be 'dry-safe' for 3-4 days, but I have not tested this claim, since I cover pens as soon as I am finished my work or going to be interrupted for a while. Some of the Caps, which fit snuggly on the point end, are not so snug on the butt end and may fall off with use; infrequent, and I have a quick solution for this as I am sure others do as well. The only con, if it is one, is a single pen to replace one you use up quickly is quite expensive, and very hard to find. john lapoint in San Diego

the case DOES NOT hold the pens securely. one tiny little movement and the majority of the pens shift and move out of place. it is infuriating. i will never buy these pens again because of this. is my case faulty? i would think this case is supposed to hold them in place, but it doesnt. like wth? it should be a seamless action of taking a pen out and putting one back in. not a stressful situation where you pull one out, or put it in your backpack then find out all the pens are twisted the wrong way. seems dumb. the case isnt rigid enough. theres too much room in btw each pen to hold them in place. theres no real way keeping them in place in the first place anyways other than their own weight

These are the best pens! I use them for bullet journaling and I can't imagine finding a better pen. They write so smooth and the fine tip lets me make very precise lines in my book. They're also quick drying, so I haven't had as much problem as I thought I would with ink smearing on the page or my hand. The case turns into its own stand, allowing me to select colors with ease. I've also started using these with my coloring books, or penning out personal letters to friends. The ink comes out so smoothly that it's hard to resist writing something. Even with 20 pens and a carrying case, they're very lightweight. I've started carrying them in my purse everyday. (My purse is large, but mostly empty.) My bullet journal is heavier than the pens themselves. I think I'll get another, bigger set to keep in my home office.
