I'm an engineer by trade, and learned early-on that this eraser has NO equal! I use CAD instead of the board now, but I do a lot of sketching and drawing for myself. I've tried other erasers, but nothing comes close. There's a reason professionals use them: whether on vellum, paper, film, etc. they work PERFECTLY! I needed a vinyl eraser for art class and I hesitantly chose this 4-pack because it was literally cheaper than a single eraser! These are durable, effective, and well worth the price. I would not use these for a lot of precise erasing, but I haven't had any problems with the eraser. I will note for people looking for this specifically that these are not dust free. I find them to have average dust. Some reviews say they "crumble" but they aren't doing that for me. Little rolls of the eraser will come off with use, but no more than a standard pink eraser for school. None of the erasers were missing from my package. However, the glue holding the package together was very weak, and seemed to be entirely missing on one side. I bought this for delicate conservation work on valuable antique currency. Great hobby supply item. It worked flawlessly and is of "conservation level" quality. It removed the unwanted light pencil marks without disturbing the paper fibers of the notes it was used on.

These are the best erasers! They really work, don’t tear the paper, they last and last, and are very reasonably priced. They work beautifully with my colored pencils and regular pencils. And they don’t dry out. I’ve used them since being introduced to them in mechanical drawing class in high school… many years ago. I don’t know that I’ve ever used one all up. Probably the best eraser I have ever used in my life. Cleans pencil without ripping apart the paper. You can also use it to clean the pesky adhesive residues left after removing labels. Made in Germany, very good quality, you get what you pay for.
