I first used this precision eraser around 2017. It was a life-changing, beautiful, tiny, eracing wonder... The original textured, Mono round-erasers were a joy to work with, providing clean erasing with light pressure. Flexible, gentle on the paper and the slight rubbery texture was perfect . Later, around 2020, using newly ordered erasers, I noticed an unpleasant change had taken place. I noticed they weren't eracing as well...? Apparently for some inconceivable reason, this company had changed the perfect formula. The Monos' eraser now seemed harder and slightly 'slicker'. Oh yes Dear Reader, all these complaints Artist's are now reporting in 2023 are true. The new Monos' do NOT remove everything. Always a slight shadow left behind. I guarantee, the new users these days who are disappointed with the Mono, would be even MORE disappointed if they had experienced the beauty of Mono's first generation... As others' such as myself had. Why would the company change something so perfect? To save money? (They sure they feel cheaper.) Also very irritating is the way the Mono's rubber tip soon snaps, even tiny advancement and not hanging out too far... It buckles very soon because you are forced to erase harder...UGH! You will be re-ordering eracers faster for sure. HOWEVER you WILL reorder them, because if you do extreme detail pencil work, you can NOT do without these.... Until some other company steps up with their own better version of an Artist's precision eraser... You need it. It definitely is a have-to-have tool. Way, way, WAY better than nothing for sure. And maybe 89% of the time. it's good enough. ... show more
