I want to use this 80T level to draw straight, (level and plumb), lines on walls, sometimes I need a big long level, sometimes I need a short level to get in a tight spot... this level was intended to be perfect for me... but it steps down in elevation between the main body and the telescoping section. You can use it as a beam level or a plate-to-plate level, but you can't scribe with it unless it is in the fully retracted smallest position. I called Stabila and they said that this is how this model is... so mine is not defective ... I will be returning it to amazon and using my old set of different length levels until they re-design this idea to actually work as advertised.

I have a little hatchback and when I was hire for my job, my boss told me to get a 2’, 4’, and a 6’ level. A 6’ leve was impractical for storing in my car and I wasn’t about to go buy a new car if I could avoid it. While it extends to 5’ not 6’ as my boss said to buy and I feel it’s a little overpriced for what it is, even euth it’s unique function, it still saved me the investment of a new car. Otherwise, it’s easy to use and does the job. I’ve measured dozens of shower doors with it and the only time I was off was my own error.

I just got my level and it was broken in shipping. I don't think its a HUUUGE deal but the cheap white plastic bits on the ends were BOTH broken in sipping. The box it came it literally looked like it was ran over... it may have been? I shelled out the big bucks because i heard these are strong and accurate but so far I'm not impressed. For over $100 it should be able to survive shipping and amazons delivery has definitely gone down hill. I don't know its a crappy level or it just has a really rough ride but either way Im disappointed.

Great level for leveling, especially if you need to fit it inside or on top of cabinets. It's not great for plumb though. Plumb vial is only on one end, which always seems to be the furthest end from me. Plus, the plumb vial is tough to read with the level fully collapsed. Also, only one edge is machined flat so I tend to only trust that as the reference edge. I wish they had machined both edges, the printed ruler on the one edge is absolutely useless. So, if Stabila is reading this, upgrade this with 2 plumb vials and machine both edges......

Love Stabila, best levels hands down! Accuracy and durability are second to none. Their adjustable levels are great all around but I use them primarily for window builds. They are perfect, being able to extend jamb to jamb and span the window fully making for flawless installation. I'm a finish carpenter 20+yrs and own both the 24-41" & 36-59" levels, so nice not to have to bring all my different size Stabila's into the job site. Great product!

It's like having three levels in one, just extended it whatever long you need and its seriously accurate. Supper well made and has wall protector bumpers. It's my favorite. Compact and universal. Its a keeper.

Limited sight bubbles limit the movement / use of this level. Other then that.....it's name says it all.
