After two trips to the Machine Shop, and $80. . . . I was able to install the lower piece as intended ! . The Blue springs work, but are too soft for my 30 ft, 22k GVWR, gas, class A, RV.     • Front end Bounces now
F53 front end Bounces now since the opening between the frame and the leaf spring mounted Suma Spring is now Zero. There is significant bounce on large "lift" ramps encountered on the open road from poor road maintenance crews. You can either see the "ramps" I call them or not before you can try to slow down to prevent the huge bounce from occurring. Prior to installation, the suspension would absorb this blow. Note that you should stay away from California's 405, 118, I5, etc. as there are numerous ramps that can (and almost) send your rig into the other lane. Now for the positive stuff. Assume there is a road left in America that hasn't been rutted, grooved, uneven or physically destroyed (like in Colorado) you can drive straight on... okay there are very few, the Suma Spring actually makes the rig ride like a car with no swaying back and forth as though you were on a ship at sea. And, the steering seems to flow tighter like a car. Just a heads up on the bouncing. ... show more

I purchased a 2021 Thor Windsport 29m and my 1st ride down the highway was a white knuckles driving experience. The unit really wandered, dipped and swayed when passed by big rigs and traveling uneven or bumpy roads. Was constantly having to correct the steering. Scared me enough to take it back to the dealer to see what they could do. The dealer recommended and I had them install a T-Safe steering stabilizer which helped substantially with the wandering, tracking and stability when being passed by the big rigs but the bounce and sway was still there. I had read about these Super Springs on several Thor owners forums and got the front set and installed them myself. The difference in ride is amazing. The nose down on breaking has been significantly reduced and the lean/sway on taking turns has flattened out dramatically. This has been well worth the investment. Next on the list will be a track bar but the coach is worthy of a long road trip as she is now. One happy camper here. ... show more

2018 f53 Winnebago v10 28 ft. Pricey , however this change from what Ford installs is worth the money and eliminates bottom out and some sway . Drives better without any steering stabilizer.

The ride after installing these Sumo Springs feels much improved. Installation took a little longer than I anticipated as the hardware on my leaf springs were in the way of some of the mounting bolts, so I had to us an open end wrench when tightening the brackets. Still somewhat of an easy install. Very pleased so far. ... show more

Installed pretty easy. Definitely made a huge difference in going over bumps. Smoothed out the ride a lot. Now it doesn’t feel like I’m riding in a old wagon. Highly recommend these and a really good buy.

    • Much improved handling
After 3 years of fighting the "wobble" steering of the F53 chassis, I installed asteering stablizer and the Sumo Springs on frknt. Wow, what a difference!! Wind sway and bounce were greatly reduced. For less than $1k, I finally get the quality steering and handling with much less stress.
