You will need to do some work before it is playable. 1. Tuning keys were out of alignment. Just got a hex wrench and tightened it. 2. Buy new strings. I ordered a flatwound set(pbass + flatwounds = YEAH!) with it. Save the strings that were on it. 3. Bass is not setup'd. Go to Fender.com and lookup "How to setup my bass". Follow instructions. It might be overwhelming for some new players but it is worth it. Later, change the settings to your likings. Remember, this is a cheap bass. Finishing or the setup is not that good. My bridge is not flat on the body. It has about a 1mm space. But then, this is a cheap bass. Away from those minor things, the sound is good and surprisingly playable. ... show more
